"Not.. quite," standing atop a sand dune I held a hand outstretched feeling the wind flow thru my fingers.
With a twitch of chakra I joined the current.
Only for the flow to suddenly shift, suffocating my attempts to take advantage of the wild winds.
Rather than generating any myself.
"My bad, thought we could hang."
I spoke aloud to nothing in particular.
"Though maybe I'm just not speaking your language?"
It's good to break up the silence.
The principle behind my actions is one that water release, used often, while earth release relied upon almost entirely.
Using what was already present.
Which wasn't easy when it came to wind.
Earth & Water were easily the most stable of the 5 base releases, well 7, but let's not complicate things.
Let's stick with earth.
Ironically the element with least similarities is the best example for what I wish to accomplish.
While capable of earth release, to say I've neglected it, would be putting it lightly.
Surely we're it poss-
Surely if I could pull it off, it would be here.
The Land of Wind.
Though even if I did manage to find… well, I'm not entirely certain what I'm looking for.
I'm afraid finding a potent source of wind release in the wild wasn't as easy as it was with fire.
You just go to a volcano, well and a few other places probably, but the volcano one definitely.
The Land of Fire has a few rather large ones.
These… places of power if you will, are zones where, usually because of natural phenomenons, chakra of a certain nature exists in abundance naturally.
Enhancing the very weather with chakra.
Which then produces more of said chakra release.
With the right condition you could keep a perpetual storm going.
One such example already exists.
The Land of Rain was befittingly shrouded in a constant rain that seemed to never let up, save for a handful of times in the second shinobi war.
Feels a little unbefitting to call such a feat a ninjutsu.
Though that was usually because Hanzo of the Salamander was allowing the release of prisoners back to their respective villages.
Something he didn't have to do.
The Land of Rain, or rather Hanzo was quite the formidable individual.
Just goes to show just how far one S-class individual can take a village.
Long story short, don't mess with Hanzo of the Salamander, the man who humbled my beloved sensei.
I'm getting off topic.
Oh but before I get to this lovely storm brewing there's something I must get off my chest.
Apparently, and didn't hear this from me, Hanzo & Danzo, may have, most definitely, been in cahoots with one another.
Once again didn't hear from me.
The winds around me were becoming something.
A maelstrom of chakra made up the storm, far more than I was capable of sensing.
I wish I could… grasp it, the sand storm, I'd pull away every bit of chakra tell all that was left was what I didn't understand.
Natural Energy.
I was pulled out of my pondering, when the winds turned sharp and predictable.
Not a good thing, all the winds moving as one, means something atypical was brewing.
Fortunately I was prepared.
Pulling out some goggles I pull them over my eyes, allowing me to, well I still can't see jack all.
Least it's not painful to look around.
Sitting down onto the sand I just kinda keep my head down and wait out the storm to pass over me.
The chakra of the storm allowed me to clear my mind, the original purpose of me even being out here.
You know… I don't feel alien.
Out of place.
If anything this world… felt correct.
Far more than my original ever did.
I couldn't see my existence without chakra anymore.
I wouldn't want that existence.
My past life was far from suffering, I had a mostly stable childhood, far better than most did.
Both parents.
Siblings.
And I was the first to die, so I didn't even have to deal with that.
While this life has tested me many times, and will likely continue to do so, forcing me to come to terms with aspects of myself I wasn't fond of.
Once I believed the circumstances in which I'd take a life were one in which I'd be completely in the right.
Both in my & society's eyes.
Unless it was revenge, always make room for an exception.
Gotta love a good revenge tale.
Though execution was everything.
No one would be on my side if I burned the village down just to get one individual.
Best case scenario the revenge is quick & clean, no unnecessary casualties, within 24 hours of the crime.
In this hypothetical I've already lost enough to this abominable individual, the last thing I'd want is to spend years tracking one person down in this world.
Though currently the only individual who could maybe get this reaction out of me would be Kakashi.
And he'd have to die in a… less than ideal manner.
Like really bad.
I'd also need a target.
The possibility that Kakashi just dies unceremoniously, while unlikely, is still a possibility.
Of course we also have the worst case scenario, never far from the forefront of the mind.
Hmm… if Kakashi was killed, in a violent nature, and I had no outlet for the maelstrom of uncertainty this would bring about.
What would I become?
Like seriously.
I have the means.
In that moment, when nothing else matters, I wasn't powerless to just let it stand.
I could actually do something.
Even if that something was quite itotic
Even if Kakashi died a hero, saving everyone, it wouldn't change much.
But I'd still be left with an empty house, full of memories I barely convinced Kakashi to not throw out.
Could I do the same for myself?
The worst of the storm had passed.
It's time to return to the lab.
Standing up Iift my goggles to see the sand storm was now ahead of me and seems to still be building in intensity.
Though it seems I'll be taking my time.
Approaching what seemed to be uninhabited rocky cliffs nearing the border, I made my way into a cave entrance after scaling one if the hundreds of massive rocky cliffs that looked inextinguishable from one another
The Lab currently wasn't much more than empty rooms full of boxes.
Orochimaru wasn't even here.
He had to return to the village.
You know with the ongoing war and all.
Leaving me to set up the fuinjutsu to make this place difficult to just happen into, as well as shrouding it from individuals like myself.
Orochimaru thankfully made room for the materials I needed to continue my own work.
Though I had no way of moving all of it back so the supplies had to be used or left.
I had to be picky with what I pursued.
But what I really wanted to focus on was barriers.
Groundbreaking i know.
Currently I employed a multitude of barriers, all rectangular in shape, each identical to the last.
While I've gotten quite good at modifying the design, the limitations were clear.
The durability while sufficient against chunin level individuals, jonin level combatants either had the means, or the experience to circumvent my barriers.
I needed something… more personal.
But I didn't just want a smaller, more compact version of my current barriers.
No.
I had something far more intriguing in mind.
the resulting barrier should certainly be something else.
You see, in all my research into barriers, I've found a trend amongst the greatest barriers techniques.
Though I didn't look beyond Tobirama's vast legacy.
Flaccid barriers!
Hehe, but seriously, non-rigid barriers, capable of fluctuating with the impact of the blow.
Sometimes passively with good ohh-walls.
But of course at some point, somebody formed a contract with a summon and the barrier specialists took that personally.
My personal theory at least.
More likely it was just to capture something big and powerful.
So powerful that just walls aren't enough.
Once the walls are up, your movement would be restrained.
Though I didn't need that function.
My plan was to make a shield.
While I had the fuinjutsu part going.
My options for the medium for the fuinjutsu was limited given my location.
I had no make do with the equipment I had on hand.
Which mostly consisted of equipment i… took from the dead.
Mostly small bits of armor that once I got my hands on I'd determine if it was any good for fuinjutsu.
What can I say, you can't beat free.
The prototype would replace my beautifully worn, but taken care of, brown bracer for a uniform grey one that pretty much went to my elbow.
Same one you'd see worn by most anbu.
Just the left one though.
As much as I love symmetry, I still needed one of my old ones.
As for what I'll do with my old left bracer, of which there is nothing wrong and is perfectly capable of functioning without its other half.
I had plans, for now, i stored it away in my personal bag.
With my medium secured I now had to finalize the fuinjutsu.
Or rather.
The shape?
What I wanted was a semi-oval shape, flat facing my arm but oval as it protruded out.
What I ended up with could best be compared to a mushroom cap.
And it was incredible… jiggly.
Not what I had in mind but once subjected to an outside force the shield went rigid, and so far it has remained in the rigid state.
Setting the barrier up for continued observation I began working on another.
While I may have just put together one, to say I could do it again remains to be seen, as well if the resulting barrier is similar to the first.
I employed the use of two shadow clones.
One handed the medium.
While the other was on observation duty.
They fought over who got to mess around with anbu equipment.
In the end coming to an agreement to take turns.
I'd need to make more.
For another project.
One related to the study of shadow clones.
Who better than shadow clones to unravel the mechanics behind their exercise.
Another two are born.
I began to fill an unpleasant drain which never lasted long.
Four shadow clones before things progress to discomfort.
Two, three at the most, but it would leave me vulnerable.
Sort of at least, I'd still have 6 shadow clones.
Including myself, that's 7 combatants.
Yet only myself would be able to fight like I usually would.
Of my equipment, all they can recreate with… themselves is basic ninja tools with static shapes.
Even then they don't hold up against the real deal when it comes down to it.
Least mine don't.
So, I had an idea, and lots of prototypes, that while I wouldn't trust with my life on, I bet these clones wouldn't mind taking that chance.
Unfortunately those prototypes were in my closet back home so commencing the plan wasn't possible but it definitely something my clones wouldn't let me forget.
Funny how they are so much aware of our subconscious thoughts.
Interesting how I can't seem to fathom what it's like to be a clone.
The experience just didn't carry through as the memories did, well I mean it kind of did, yet the clones insisted I didn't get the full experience.
Returning to work I paid my copies no mind.
My resources were quite finite out here.
So I was taking special care, ensuring I was confident in my fuinjutsu.
Stopping to follow-up on any doubts, if for nothing else, than to rid myself of them.
"The medium..," I called out.
Another, only this one didn't even have any armor of any kind, while completely covering up my pale skin all the way up my arm.
Well mobility won't be an issue.
"Really, this one?" I turned to face the clone who were both now organizing the equipment, neglecting the prototype.
They both stopped, looked at one another, before simultaneously nodding.
"Arighty."
Hmm…
[Continue from here.]
I'm gonna look weird.
I end up spending another month before the fuinjutsu is complete.
Once it was time to return i was actually pretty excited.
I would be traveling through the Land of Wind & Land of Fire.
By myself!!!
And boy was I gonna take my time.
I remember some sick looking sandstone formation.
Definitely gonna check out those.
By time I arrived back in the Land of Fire.
I was probably already in trouble with the time I took.
So I took some more, hitting up one of those gambling towns Orochimaru never stays longer than to sleep and enjoy some light reading.
He also doesn't let me gamble.
When did he get so much power over me?
Well i'll show him.
So unfortunately I walked away… with nothing.
But I had fun.
Neat how as long as I had a forehead protected they let me participate.
Probably helped that I was risking a lot as well.
Still, I wouldn't be getting paid for all this time.
This wasn't an official mission after all.
I avoided the roads, instead looking for a river that I knew eventually passed through the Death Forest, where I could find my way back easily.
Yeah I got lost.
But I did find the river, it just took another week.
Could've been back by now if I stuck to the roads.
Picking up the pace I am surrounded by enormous trees by nightfall.
I could probably see the village from some of the taller trees.
Still, I decided to take a little break by the river, sitting on a fallen tree that was now a natural bridge across the river.
I looked up at the sky as I listened to the sounds of the forest.
I'd be back in the village by morning.
Don't get me wrong, I was glad to be back.
Yet part of me will miss this.
Just living.
Exploring.
Collecting rocks!
I… would-
My thoughts are interrupted as the sight of… a body in the water immediately puts me on edge.
In an instant I'm on my feet, my senses expanding as I determine if I was alone.
I am.
As the body passed underneath me the tell tail Uzumaki symbol caused me to pause.
More bodies began to float down river.
Tell the moniker of Forest of Death was more than befitting.
All leaf shinobi.
Creating a clone we began pulling the bodies out of the river.
Far too many.
"Boss you gotta go check it out, I'll finish up here," my clone voiced our thoughts.
"I know."
Taking a moment to collect myself I take a deep breath.
Should've taken the road.
Unfortunately it doesn't take too long for me to sense some action.
An explosion went off in the distance.
With more than one sense.
Another.
Really hope that on my side.
As made my approach I was finally able to get an idea on the situation.
So far only two villages were present.
The Leaf of course.
Who were being pursued aggressively by the mist-nin.
Which was unusual for the mist.
This was already a victory for them.
Pursuing the lead-nin much further wouldn't end well for them.
I wouldn't be surprised if reinforcements were already on their way.
This is too close to the village for this to go unnoticed.
Most of the bodies i passed were leaf, and while seemingly killed in traditional shinobi tactics.
Some of the bodies were cut clean in two,
Though unlike myself it seems this was accomplished without the use of an element release.
And as much as I wanted to believe I was wrong about who was responsible, the top half Executioner's Blade didn't leave much speculation.
Getting a better look at the badass who broke the thing, seemed to be a branch member of the Hyuga, their eyes already rendered useless by the curse mark on their head.
I.. felt a bit bad up by my priorities as I sealed both the body and the blade before storing them away.
The blade was a bonus.
My real prize here was the jujutsu sprawled across the forehead of branch member along with the Hyuga body its self.
Another fascination of mine was the Hyuga chakra system.
Books were nice, but nothing beat studying the real thing.
Still, I was stalling.
One of-
Another exposition, only it was within my sensing range, immediately I locked onto the culprit.
Shit.
Two of the seven swords of the mist were present, likely more.
Most of the chakra signatures I felt, I was certain they weren't of the leaf, they felt… foreign, that's the best I could explain it.
I should run.
Nobody knows I'm here.
I can go back to the bodies I pulled out of the river, and secure them, that's enough, no need to risk myself for what is currently certain defeat.
My capture was unacceptable.
This is the correct choi-
My eyes shot open as I turned towards the familiar chakra signature of… Guy.
It…
It changes nothing.
Stealing myself I turned to walk in the opposite direction.
Each step was difficult, yet my pace never slowed as the distance grew.
"God… Damnit," I let out I suddenly come to a stop before chakra surged through my system, the ground beneath me shattered as I shot in the direction I last sensed Guy
It didn't take long for me to catch up to the action.
Guy was once again in range but things had gotten worse.
Holding my own legendary weapon in hand I avoided the dangerous ones.
Another exposition, this time it was far too close.
That Guy.
I gotta avoid that guy.
Using the lighting blade would definitely draw their attention, they'd definitely see it as a challenge.
I would.
Still it was my best option should I come face to face with one of the seven.
Unfortunately I can't just grab Guy and run… yet at least, while losing, the situation wasn't hopeless.
Our proximity to the village also meant we didn't have to win, just survive.
I am an unknown to this battlefield.
Best I keep it that way.
I need to choose my fights, I couldn't allow them to get away.
Shifting direction I take to the trees working my way above some mist-nin who really should know playing with your opponents was never a good idea.
They had a leaf nin strung up with ninja wire, they were still alive, probably intending to let them bleed out surrounded by the bodies of their comrades.
I tried to feel nothing.
It didn't work.
Letting gravity take over I land on the back of the nin I deemed the most likely to cause the most issues.
A kunai made its way into his neck, before his body hit the ground, I was on his team who were quite surprised, still they were shinobi.
Momentary crossing swords with with another before I test to see if anyone currently present could even contend with me.
I vanished.
None of them were capable of following or even locating me as I used my speed to disappear into the trees before returning to the forest floor below to stab one of them in the back through their heart.
I must have missed.
Immediately i followed up with a slice to the neck as I felt her chakra boil up instead of shrink.
Stubborn one, yet she fell in the end.
Two left.
The older of the two closed in while the younger moved to support him.
Igniting the lighting blade I bisected the older shinobi.
Dread filled the young shinobi face as he turned to run.
I was standing behind him already.
For a moment I consider saying something as I looked up at the teenager's face.
He was afraid.
We didn't exchange words.
Cutting down my fellow leaf nin they are far took weak to do little more than fall into onto my arm as I laid them down somewhere they could just look at nature.
Before turning to leave.
Should they survive, I'd be back once this was over for them.
Or to recover the body.
I could've created a clone, gave them some supplies to stabilized them.
Yet I didn't.
Because of a what if.
What if Guy needed them?
He was the whole reason I even stepped onto this battlefield.
Continuing on, I assassinated another squad only this time I had some leaf-nin to address.
Stepping off the now dead nonsense back I pulled my sword out of his back.
Never saw me coming.
Thankfully it seems the leaf were gonna win this one even without my intervention.
Pulling off my mask to reveal both my identity & forehead protected put the shinobi at ease seeing just who I was.
"The student of Lord Orochimaru?" I heard.
Yay, I was recognized.
Though I'd prefer they actually said my name for once.
"That's me, now everyone up, we don't have much time, let's continue our retreat before any of the swordsmen come in this direction!" I yell to those who are still capable.
Seeing no flaw in my logic, they quickly mobilized again, some carrying those who couldn't no more.
I continued on, Guy wasn't much further.
hope was now dwindling as any leaf nin I felt were either running or in the in the last moments of their existence.
Shutting it all out i focused on Guy who fortunately seemed to be with his team, as well as them only having one opponent.
Ok this is working out.
I'll take care of this last mist-nin before challenging Guy to a race back to the village.
We'll be safe, and I'll have earned Orochimaru some brownie points by saving my fellow nin.
Didn't even have to face any of the seven.
As Guy came into view along with the mist-nin my heart sank.
That was one of the swordsmen.
The Blunt Balde, said to be able to render any defense technique worthless.
Yeah not using barriers against that weapon.
I just needed to kill him before he even realizes I am here.
Which meant I needed to wait for an opportunity.
Guy for his part couldn't do anything, his taijutsu was worthless before the sheer power of this man, he was tall, broad, welding the Blunt Blade with absolute confidence in its might.
One of Guy's teammates was knocked to the floors as he raised the Axe like blade high above his head to end the boy's life.
Now will do.
Exploding from my position I ignite the lighting balde ready to prove it was no less legendary.
He shifted the Blunt half of the weapon to intercept.
Landing on the hammer I was disappointed to see it was holding up.
Shoving me backwards i keep myself low to the ground as we assess one another.
"I'll give you the sword if you let us leave alive?" I bargain.
He steps forward, "no deal, I'll just take it off your corpse, is your sensei here? Killing him would be quite the impressive feat," he spoke as if his victory against the snake sannin was certain.
"Oh yeah like right around the corner flaying the rest of the swordsmen alive, he sent me to handle the weakest member of your little club."
I immediately felt the difference in his damnor as I seemed to have stuck a nerve.
Wasn't even hard.
Shinobi are a prideful bunch.
Showing off his own speed he brought heavy blade where I was just standing much faster than you'd think he could move.
Before following up with the hammer sending enough force to shatter the earth below me, sending it everywhere.
A calmness over took me as I took in every twitch in his chakra.
I was already push to my limit.
Fortunately it didn't seem he was much faster.
Appearing just before me he went to being down the Blunt Blade.
Which I anticipated through his chakra.
Barriers manifested.
Which were cut in two, but I managed to successfully slow the weapon enough I could side step it.
Sticking myself to the massive blade with my hands, as well as locking myself to the ground i prevent him from using the blade.
The seven were a unit for a reason.
Alone they were just jonin with impressive equipment.
I wasn't alone.
Guy and his squad were on him seeing the opportunity.
Bracing myself I'm in a brief struggle I was definitely gonna lose.
If he had a few more moments.
The two halls of the Blunt Blade were connected.
He had to make a choice.
Letting go of the weapon he moved to safety.
"I was really hoping to kill one of you." I said, sighing.
The former welder of the Blunt Blade.
Mine now.
Landed next to a spectator I couldn't sense.
As the fight was going on.
We lost.
Any leaf-nin had escaped or were dead.
Leaving us as the last enemy combatants.
Expanding my senses I looked for a way out.
More swordsmen quickly surrounded us.
Regular Mist-nin as well.
My death was being turned into a spectacle, Mist-nin watched on.
Taking seats.
Laughing with one another.
"It's the snake sannins brat," said my wielder of the twin Thunderswords, who stepped forward drawing their blades, lightning release cracked around them for a moment before going dormant.
Glancing around i identified all seven of the swordsmen were currently present.
Shit i was really hoping for Executioner guy or Explosive Balde.
I guess the Needle as well.
Not for any real reason.
It's just the other three three were. different from the rest.
The Twinsword was brimming with chakra, and I wanted nothing to do with it.
And the enormous sword that was wrapped in bandages.
I could feel it…
That sword was alive.
I'm gonna die.
Welp…
Time for theatrics.
Letting the Blunt Blade fall to the ground I stepped forward and I accepted the unspoken challenge from the user of the Twin Thunderswords.
Igniting not only Tobirama's lighting blade.
But another as well.
The handle was noticeable both longer and thicker as a result of my modification.
I still couldn't power it myself so it had its own internal storage full of Kakashi chakra.
Keep your friends close.
The second on Ignitied, lightning arcing around before stabilizing.
"Haha, now we're talking kid!" Striking his weapons together he readied himself.
It was a bluff.
My own weapons wouldn't hold up.
I could trade blows maybe a handful of times before they gave.
Least the Mist won't get their hand on them.
Alright let's do this.
Closing my eyes I did my best impersonation of Orochimaru.
My chakra exploded outwards.
All at once the surrounding Mist-nin tensed up.
While the Twin Thunderswords user dammanor turned serious no longer exchanging words.
"I am Sozo Akinori," my voice was in complete contrast to my chakra.
Calm.
Controlled.
Quiet.
"I'll try not to disappoint."
Making the first move i-
Was stopped.
It was Dai.
"Dai, I'll hold them, take your Son an-."
"You've done enough," he said reassuringly,
and I just didn't have it in me to argue.
The attention shifted to Dai.
"Father, you don't stand a chance, not even against one of them!," Guy yelled, as Dai
Time stood still as I took in everything.
Pushing my senses out in hope reinforcements were just behind Dai…
Nothing.
I suppose this isn't the worst way to go.
Would've preferred Guy wasn't here though.
Oh well.
Standing tall as I stood with Dai.
"The Gate of Death, I can open it
." Dai spoke.
"But thats-…!" Guy began.
While missing key information, I got the gist. I just hope it's enough.
Whatever it was.
Hey I am out of ideas, and was just about to heroically kill myself.
"The self rule!" Guy yelled once more, his voice faltering.
"Do not cry my son… you have already surpassed me my son, I am proud of you"
"Now is the time…,"
What is happening?
Dai chakra skyrocketed, as a blue heu manifested around him.
"8th Gate of Death!"
The hue around Dai turned blood red.
"OPEN!."
I couldn't follow any of what followed.
Seems neither could anyone else.
In an instant five of the remaining swordsmen were dead, with only the Sharkskin Blade & Executioner Blade wielder standing.
Registering just how fucked they were they took off in opposite direction.
Dai's head shot up towards the Sharkskin user.
Unlucky.
Only he never moved.
"Father!," Guy rushed past me.
Before Gai reached his possession the red hue vanished… Dai body… What kind of technique was that?
I didn't know what happened
It all happened in moments.
Meny of the remaining Mist-nin ran.
But not all
I cut them down.
Fools
Dai's fate was sealed.
I could feel it.
The rate he was losing the previously overwhelmed levels of chakra was accelerating.
In his final moments he turned to face Guy with a big smile.
Before taking his final breath.
I stood over as Guy grieved over his father.
Goddammit…
More reinforcements did arrive, though I did take note we would've been long dead by time they arrived.
I owed Dai debt I couldn't pay.
A slight smile took hostage of my lips.
That's two now.
I secured the Legendary swords of the Mist, along what was left of their wielders bodies.
Well most of them at least.
The Twin Lightningblades were proving stubborn.
Also they somehow both got embedded into a big rock.
Don't even know how?
Could've swore they were lying on the ground at first?
I should just seal them away, much easier to carry a scroll.
In the past I researched the Mist's Legendary swords.
While not necessarily weapons, I wanted to create equipment of similar caliber.
And while true for all the swords, not just anyone can wield them, which was even more so for these picky twin blades.
I really should just seal them away.
I stood before them and any time my hands got close, the lighting release would arc through the blades.
Unfortunately for these swords.
I was their worst match up.
Wind release coursed through me as I grabbed ahold of the handles.
Immediately I felt it.
They were trying to kill me with my own chakra.
Flash frying me with uncontrolled lightning release.
Now that I took offense to.
Turning it on the… tool, I suffocate them with my chakra engulfing the blades with wind release.
Oh I bet just this act alone would cause me a lifetime of problems with the Mist.
"Sozo."
Oh shit.
Turning to face Lord Third from my high position on this large rock, I dropped down still holding the swords held hostage in wind release.
"Here ya go?" I hold them up to him.
"Seal them away for me would you..," he spoke tiredly as he moved on to manage the rest of the situation, "I assume you have the rest?"
"Two got away, but yes I do."
"Hold onto them for now, I'll see you back in the village."
With that he was gone, so I did as I was told.
Sealing away the swords.
Guy had left when his father's body was taken back to the village, returning with the body.
As I was just about to begin my own journey back to the village I remembered the bodies down river.
Shouldn't probably ensure those are found.
It's gonna be a long day.
You know there are quite a number of things I just have not done, I could've already been in the Village, or not even yet back in the Land of Fire.
Yet somehow, I chose the perfect combination to end up in this shit-show.
Perfect, I tell ya…
Once back in the village as much as I wanted to take it easy, I had limited access to these swords.
Of all of them, the one I was most intrigued by would be the twin swords, but unfortunately most of these swords were beyond me.
But not the Blast Blade.
This one was within my reach.
Ok so after looking it over this sword confounds me.
I was able to get new tags to rotate out, at which I switched over to a new location and let a clone do the rest as blast was in the name as well.
For all intensive purposes this weapon should destroy itself.
I didn't get a chance to see the weapon used in action so I was unfortunately swinging in the dark.
Ok, so the weapon doesn't destroy itself.
How?
Let's test.
The lighting blade ignited as I quickly tapped it against the balde.
The blade resisted, I switched off my creation, taking a closer look to see the extent of the damage.
Nothing I could see.
Definitely made of tough stuff.
Reinforced further with fuinjutsu.
Least, that's what I'd do, whoever made this already knows how to do what I wish to accomplish.
The fuinjutsu on this was better then Tobirama's, least quality wise, given its stood the test of time while many of Tobirama's works are no longer operational.
Welp guess time to actually use the thing.
Relocating to a training ground nobody should have qualms with me renovating.
"Arighty!," I gave my clone the thumbs up.
He returned it before raising the weapon himself and allowing gravity to pull it into the ground.
Nothing.
"Again, but actually succeed this time!"
My clone examined the weapon before once again raising it in the air.
Though this time he didn't get a chance to lower the weapon before it just exploded.
Surprisingly he survived.
After a few more the clones begin to get confident with the weapon, swinging the weapon around before bringing it down on a rock.
Moments befittingly contact he set off the blade, completely throwing off its trajectory as my clone catches its weight and allows the momentum to continue turning with the weapon and stumbling.
Said rock was absolutely obliterated.
Interesting.
The scroll integrated into the weapon is set up to continuously loop.
With seemingly no way to remove the scroll.
Initially I assumed this weapon had to be… reloaded.
Though how this scroll is integrated would suggest this scroll isn't supposed to be regularly replaced as I had once thought.
The explosive tags themselves are also unique in that they direct the force of the exploration, to such a degree a shadow clone can withstand with no additional reinforcements.
Kinda at least.
With the final swing the clone popped final worn down from just welding the weapon.
So much to do…
I should go see Guy.
I should've been stronger.
More capable.
How was running now an option.
I let myself get trapped.
For a friend.
Looking up into the sky I let out a sigh before going to visit my friend.
Time to be human.
I should try it more often.
