"Put your hands above your head."

Johan stared at the gun, then at the middle-aged man inching closer to him. The fierce glare he received didn't faze him one bit, and neither was the weapon aimed at him.

"I said, put your hands above your head!"

Instead of following the command, Johan took a step forward. "And if I don't want to?"

A hand curled around the trigger. "Do you think I'm joking, kid?"

"Do I look like a joke to you?" With his left hand bloodied from punching Uriel, Johan combed his wet bangs away from his eyes and glared back. "Go ahead. Shoot me and let's see what happens next. I wonder what my grandfather, Don Juanico, would do to you."

At the mention of his grandfather's name, the man faltered, his beady eyes growing wide, lowering his gun a little. "Y-You are a Fernandez?"
