"I understand." Bash nodded, letting out a deep breath. "But if Jasmine needs to be taken down, then I'll be the one to do it."

I shook my head. "Bash, that would be too much to ask of anyone."

Bash shook his head. "No. That's the way the Jasmine I remember would want it."

Dakota clasped his shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Well, let's hope it doesn't come down to it. shall we?"

Bash nodded. "Yeah. let's hope."

"Well, let's get out of here. It's getting late, and you need to take a shower," Dakota teased. "Frankly, man, you stink."

Bash chuckled. "Yeah, well, you don't smell like a bed of roses yourself."

"Touché." Dakota laughed, motioning with his head toward the stairs. "Let's go."

I was eager to see how Millie was doing and if she remembered anything. Also, I needed to give Michael a key to my house. But then again, an Archangel could find his way into any place.
