Chapitre 34: Preparing for the war
The military power of Taztarus Kingdom is ranked third in the kingdom under Advarus Empire.
The Lovlarix has about fifty thousand soldiers in it, the lowest rank soldier is a level five Mage or Warrior rank fighter. Zed is quite shocked by the fact that his mother Cordellia if she wants to join the Lovlarix then she will become one of the low ranked fighters in it.
Not all of the Taztarus Kingdom military is from the Lovlarix, the weaker fighter will become some kind of Police that kept the peace in the lower section of the Taztarus Kingdom where peasant lives.
The lower section of the Taztarus Kingdom is heavily populated because of that a form of Police to tend quarrels here and there are needed.
After the speech the Lovlarix is busy preparing to meet the all-out attack from the Asitadian Kingdom, Soldiers are running here and there to report the supply and equipment for all the soldiers.
Zed is in a room where the elite of Taztarus Kingdom gathered for a briefing of the assignment.
The room only consists of about fifty people in it, They are all the Elite of the Lovlarix. They all wear dark grey armor with some of them has a black cape on their back with stars on the bottom of the cape, The cape is a sign of Elites that have already experienced war and the one who has white stars on their cape means that they are above level five Noble Knight or Mage Rank while gold stars mean peak of Noble Rank.
All of them has a serious expression on their face listening to the Captain that will lead them in war with a map of the battlefield in front of them.
"The fight will happen in Dierge Caldera Valley where the Jestin city border reaches the influence of Asitadian Kingdom, The place is mountainous and so steep but based on the Military tactics report the fight will commence on the top of the valley, not in the valley. There's also a chance that they will Flank us from the Bronze Rift Mountain that is side to side with Dierge Caldera Valley and Ulbus City" Said the Captain clad in white armor while pointing at the map.
"With that out of the way, we will now assign each of you an assignment. The elites of cavalry section will not join the war because of the disadvantageous terrain so they will be assigned to the Jestin City and Ulbus City" said the Captain to the elites of cavalry.
The Captain assigned the other section from the elites of the Infantry section that will be the assigned to become a group to flank the back of the enemy from a narrow path on the bottom of the valley that is only known by the Taztarus Kingdom according to their intel and the elite of the Archery section will be assigned on the back of the formations.
After assigning the elites, The Captain's eyes fall to the remaining which is Zed and the other two Lovlarix with nothing other than dark grey armor.
"You three are the youngest with the most potential so you will be grouped to make the most elite team, We will not risk you dying early so Zed Lenvers you will be a sniper that aimed at their most vital mages, Vical Teldbadus you will be the protector of Zed make sure to cover his back, and Owin Gwalter you will be the one to secure the spot for sniping. Do you all understand?" The captain said with a serious expression with a tinge of expectation.
"Yes, Captain!" Said the three of them in unison.
Half of the Lovlarix Might will be deployed in this war with five commanders that will lead the war, making this war the biggest one in recent years.
Nicholas as a Commander will not join the direct war but will apply the guidance to the captains by communication magic from afar because losing one of the commanders is a heavy blow to the Taztarus Kingdom so Nicholas cannot be risked.
At noon the Lovlarix is ready to move out, The peasant and Nobles that are exempt from this war will do the usual ritual to bid Lovlarix soldiers to war. The peasant will kneel on the ground sending prayers to the soldiers, The nobles will walk along with the Lovlarix while spreading Bloody Sorrel flower as a sign of good luck because life is at stake.
Zed eyes scan the crowd and spotted Fabiola looking dashing as ever but she is crying amongst the crowd, Zed waves his hands with a smile on his face to assure Fabiola as he gets on the Energy of Span.
They will travel to Jestin City by traveling magic called 'Energy of Span' that looks like a flying train that can carry them at a fast speed to Jestin City within three hours.
Zed is looking out to the bright sun from the Energy of Span, The sun is blazing proudly in the high sky as he closes his eyes thinking, 'It's been a while since I left home, This will be my first war. Mom wishes me godspeed'.
The Lovlarix arrived at Jestin City just before sunset.
Rows of soldiers came down from the Energy of Span, With their ranks jumping from a twenty meters height is not a problem.
Jestin City's soldiers already lined up expecting for the Lovlarix to come, The captains are given the current information as they arrive.
The Asitadian Kingdom soldiers are called 'Khapex', the information stated that the Khapex already enter the Dierge Caldera Valley and setting their camp there. They are numbered around twenty-three thousand making the Lovlarix has a number advantage.
"Is your scout accurate? I don't want to risk my men and fall victim to this information" said the captain while giving a signal to the scout of Lovlarix to check.
The scout of five men immediately dash to the Dierge Caldera Valley, The captains and the rest of the Lovlarix enter Jestin City as they reinforce the city walls to prepare themselves for the worst that is sieged there when they are outnumbered.
Zed, Vical, and Owin are given a nice place to stay at the center of the city while the other non-elite Lovlarix will have to sleep in the barrack or make a camp outside the city.
The one scout came back reporting that the information is accurate, the Khapex is preparing themselves and the war will commence tomorrow morning but there is a movement in the Bronze Rift Mountain. The other four scouts are investigating it suspecting that it is some kind of trap set by the Khapex.
The cavalry of Lovlarix is riding a warhorse for the common Lovlarix while the elites are riding a Subjugator Panther, it is a peak wild beast with dark black and firm skin that looks ferocious with a red aura around it.
Zed is fascinated by the creature although it looks ferocious it is mesmerizing to think that a beast can look ferocious and beautiful at the same time.
There is a ritual before the day of the war, it is called 'Eleftheri Mera'. This day will be the day that it is free for Lovlarix to do whatever they want they can eat and drink anything, Sleep, Play games, Go to anywhere they want inside the city, Rape peasant or even nobles because the Lovlarix is here to help so they can do whatever they want and the city has to respect it.
Zed and Vical are walking through the city street, Jestin City has a beautiful water attraction to it such as a river flow crossing the city, The city has land that grows different kind of plant as material to make pills making Jestin City the biggest supplier for an ingredient to make pills, because of that the city has many alchemists in it.
The city streets are chaotic with drunk men, Bustling tavern, Fights that occurred from the resisting citizen, and Naked men and women.
Zed walks the street while shaking his head looking at the moron scene, some of the Lovlarix bumped to Zed and Vical but they quickly apologized after looking at Zed and Vical's dark grey armor.
"So you are The Zed Lenvers that beat a full-fledge Lovlarix from the start?" Asked Vical jokingly.
"Yes, That is me. Where are you from? The Lovlarix Recruitment hasn't even finished yet so you are not from the cities associated with the Taztarus Kingdom am I right?" asked Zed back.
"Yep, I am from small tribes near the Drosa City. I am recruited when a Captain of the Lovlarix met me, I have exceptional strength because I have a werewolf bloodline so I reach level three knight rank at the age of fifteen" answered Vical.
Zed was shocked, 'How can this guy trust me so much that he reveals his bloodline' Zed thought.
As they talk a girl scream was heard from their rights, Zed and Vical glanced and continue their walks thinking that it is not their business and rape is a normal occurrence in this day and place.
Just as they walk a girl runs to them, "Please save me!".
