I know this is strange, but I miss my mom. Today I woke up thinking of her, and how much I miss her. Caleb never asked me about my father, and I am grateful of that, I think he knows that there was never a fatherly figure in my life. He left me and her when I was 9 years old, I don't remember most of my young years, but I remember the day he left, my mother was crying, he didn’t care, and he never even looked at me. Yes, it was always me and mom. And today I miss her.

We are crossing the limits of our territory and I feel the pulse of our pack. They are running wild and free, most of them heading our way to greet us. Caleb puts his arms around me and kisses the top of my head. ‘I am sorry about your father… I could kill him with my own hands if I knew you would forgive me for it… but even I know there are limits… So I will just do my best to be all you ever need and be a good father for our children.’
