Qiao Xiaojian turns to Lan Tian with a worried look. "Wan Mi told me about all the harm Immortal Mountain has caused you. We feared that General Pei would get in touch with them anyway, to spite Xin Liqin."
Lan Tian observes the sky and the approaching shapes with the sense the ground is disappearing from under his feet.
"I have to get Wu Yun out of here, he's too weak," he says, and turns back on his heel.
"Where do you think you're going?" General Pei asks, when Qiao Xiaojian follows after Lan Tian. "You should greet our guest when they arrive."
Qiao Xiaojian ignores General Pei and keeps walking towards the tent in his strained pace. He spent too long out of the wheelchair, Lan Tian can't even imagine the amount of pain he must be in.
Speaking of pain.
Lan Tian turns around and crosses the distance towards the general. The man doesn't have the time to utter a word before Lan Tian punches him across the jaw.
I'm so sorry for the delay, I've been a little sick, nothing serious, but it made writing very tough, and then work kicked my ass, which didn't help.
I just hope the next weeks at work are slower T-T
Anyway, Immortal Mountain, crisis averted. Yay or nay?
Next chapter you can expect a full hurt/confort treat ;) You guys deserve it, and honestly so do I.
I'm too beat up to deal with angst, time for some sweetness.
