Chapitre 24: NOPI Chapter 22: Charles' Confession
Charles' POV
Tumahimik kaming dalawa ni Sephine nang makapasok na kami sa Ferris Wheel. It's really awkward and if you're asking why, I'm too embarrassed and too overjoyed to say it.
We actually rode on the only heart-shaped cart. I don't even know if it's the work of my luck, her luck, or Cupid's work. All I know is that even god is helping me right now!
It must really be fate!
Umubo na ako saka nilabas ang phone ko't pinatong sa upuang katabi ko at tinignan na si Sephine na nakaupo sa harapan ko.
Witnessing the innocent and pure girl in front of me, behind her was the stars that filled the dark sky... god, how I wish this moment would just last forever.
"Seph," tawag ko kaya naman nabigla siya saka ako tinignan
"Hmm?"
"Did you know that riding the heart-shaped cart of the Ferris Wheel has a jinx and an urban legend connected to it? Do you know what happens when two people get in it and ride it together?" tanong ko kaya naman nag-blush siya dahilan kung bakit ako natawa
"They'd.. have a happy ending," sagot niya kaya naman napangiti ako saka tumayo
"That's not the only part of the story, right?" tanong ko kaya naman tumango siya at nahihiyang tumayo
"B-bakit? Gusto mo bang subukan?" tanong niya at tumango naman ako kaagad
"I don't believe in this kinds of stories anyway, so it shouldn't matter if we try it, right?" tanong ko kaya naman kahit nahihiya siya eh inabot ang kamay niya sa kamay kong nakalahad sakanya
Dahan dahan ko siyang hinila patayo saka pumikit.
"I wish for a happy ending," sabi ko at unti unti ko nang minulat ang mga mata ko
Pinigilan kong ipakita ang gulat ko nang makita kong iba ang tingin niya sa akin.
"W-what? We're friends, right? We could at least do this much" bulong ko kaya naman natawa siya dahilan kung bakit ako natigilan
Damn. That's an attack.
Her laughter's just music to my ears.
"Then it's my turn, I pray for a happy ending," sagot niya habang nakatingin ng diretso sa mga mata ko habang nakangiti paring parang anghel na nahulog sa langit
On cue nama'y pumutok na ang fireworks sa gilid namin, at talagang kung kailan kami na ang nasa pinaka-taas ng Ferris Wheel.
"Oh my god, it's so beautiful! Look Charles! Ang swerte natin! Ang saya ng araw na 'to!" excited na sabi ni Sephine habang nakatingin siya sa fireworks display kaya naman napatitig ako sakanya
"Yeah, it is beautiful. I don't even think I'm worthy of being able to see it" sagot ko dahilan kung bakit siya natawa at tinignan ako
"Of course you're worthy, Charles! You're more than worthy! I just know it!" sabi niya kaya naman napangiti nalang ako saka hinigpitan ang pagkakahawak sa mga kamay niya
"Oh, right. I still need to wish for a happy ending too, huh?" tanong niya saka siya pumikit kaya naman huminga na ako ng malalim at binitawan na ang kamay niya

Sephine's POV
I opened my eyes the moment I felt Charles let go of my hand, pero sa hindi malamang dahilan ay may naramdaman akong kakaiba. I felt.. his lips on top of mine.
Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko bigla dahil sa gulat. Matutumba na sana ako pero agad akong hinawakan ni Charles sa bewang gamit ang kaliwa niyang kamay habang sa likod naman ng ulo ko ang kanan niyang kamay.
When he started moving his lips, I twitched and stiffened and immediately looked at his eyes. I regretted it. His eyes.. reflected the fireworks display. He was simply too.. beautiful. He's much more beautiful the the fireworks display themselves.
Nang mapansin niyang nag-relax na ako simula ng makita ko ang mga mata niya ay bahagya siyang ngumiti, pumikit na at pinagpatuloy ang ginagawa niya sa akin.
I guess due to the fact that I already knew the answer to my questions, I wasn't against this at all, which is why I immediately closed my eyes and held his shirt pulling him closer to me.
Halatang nagulat siya dahil natigilan siya ng ilang sandali at hininto na ang paghalik niya sa akin.
"I thought you'd.. get angry and slap me or something," bulong niya kaya naman napatingin ako sa mga kamay kong napahawak sa damit niya
I felt myself blush. God, this is embarassing.
"I.. I don't know why I didn't either," bulong ko pabalik saka ko siya tinignan at tinanggal ang mga kamay kong nakahawak sakanya pero bago ko pa man maitago ang mga kamay ko ay agad na niya itong hinawakan
"Then let me try that again," sagot niya saka niya kinuha ang mga kamay ko't sinabit sa leeg niya bago niya ako niyakap sa bewang ko at bago pa man ako makapagsalita ay hinalikan niya na ako ulit, but it wasn't like ealier, he just simply pecked my cheeks now
"Sephine, I know it's quite fast and we don't really know each other that much. But I just want you to know how I feel about you" nanlaki ang mga mata ko't bibitaw na sana sakanya pero hinila niya pa ako dahilan kung bakit ako mas lalong napalapit sakanya
"Shh. Just listen to me," bulong niya kaya naman napatitig ako sa mga mata niya
"O..okay" I subconsciously answered
"Whenever you're bullied when I'm not there, I get frustrated and angry that I couldn't help you. Whenever you're alone, I wish I could've been there to accompany you. Whenever you're happy, I hoped that I was the source of your happiness. And most importantly, whenever you're close to some guys other than me and my friends, I get jealous that I get so childish and selfish to the point that I'd avoid you and stop talking to you," I blushed and felt embarrassed at his sudden confession
Oh my god. I never would've imagined in my whole life na merong magkakagusto sa akin.
I mean, in my nerd form.
"It's ridiculous really. I'm so ill-mannered and arrogant, I know. I'm just smart, talented, handsome and rich, so I really couldn't find any reason for you to not be able to fall for me. Which is why I shamelessly kissed you against your will and took this chance to confess to you. I after all, believe that the greatest opportunities in life will never come back the second time once you hesitate, so hindi na ako nagdalawang isip pa't umamin na bago ko pa pagsisihan sa buong buhay ko" dagdag niya kaya naman hindi ko napagilang maluha dahilan kung bakit siya bumitaw sa akin at hinawakan ang mukha ko
"Hey, why are you crying? Is there something wrong?" concern niyang tanong kaya naman napaluha ako lalo
Pinaupo niya na ako saka ako inabutan ng panyo na agad ko namang kinuha at ginamit para magpunas ng luha ko.
"Sephine, please.. please answer me. Are you feeling well? Are you too overwhelmed? Actually nag-amin lang naman ako for my own selfishness so hindi mo kailangan maging considerate para sa akin. Hindi kita prine-pressure or something," sagot niya kaya naman natawa ako kaagad saka siya tinignan
"I'm just.. too happy," sagot ko kaya naman natigilan siya bago ngumiti ng pagkalaki laki
He looks so happy.
I just can't believe what's happening right now.
Who am I? Where am I? Why are there so many flowers blooming everywhere?
