Chapitre 421: The Lake

Ned surveyed the surroundings: an abundance of grass hidden under the shadows of the tree overhanging them. Boulders protruded on the shore, a good side for hiding, and defending one's self if attacked. Everything, just like how Ned remembered it. 

Yet, he frowned.

No life was detected in his display. Perhaps because she was underground? Ned thought, asking himself a question he would find the answer to soon. He had yet to uncover the mask, nor the Silk Road transformed back to a black suit. He would stay that way for as long as it takes until he finds Tiathe. 

Ned left no mana leaks on his way to Tiathe's hiding place. He was sure about it. But something worries him. There will be more, he thought, walking down a shallow slope toward the shore. More will come. 

Once the water touches his waist, Ned dived, relying on his natural eyesight to distinguish the murky water from any silhouette he might find.
