Alex was a bit disgruntled. After realizing how wonderful holding Claire to sleep was he regretted not doing it sooner. The problem was that he also wanted to do more than that because of his previous conversation with Ray but had no idea what he was doing.

He tried doing research but it wasn't particularly helpful. Instructional videos were not what he had in mind so he was fairly certain he would have to wing it. She would probably forgive him if things were awkward at first because she didn't have any experience either as far as he knew.
