They all looked to Claire expectantly and she was completely bewildered. She really hadn't thought through what it would be like dealing with a small herd of militarized children. She had to remain calm or they would lose what little respect she commanded because of Alex's influence.
"Ten, Eleven, and Twelve will sleep in the room with the treadmill. It's the first one at the top of the stairs. Thirteen and Sixteen will be on the floor of my room. Fourteen will share a bed with Al—Six. Fifteen gets the couch down here. Seventeen and Eighteen will sleep on the floor in Six's room.
"Anyone sleeping on the floor gets a pillow and two blankets from the linen closet. Fifteen gets one blanket since he won't need another for padding. Six will hand everything out so please form a line behind him. Is everyone satisfied with these arrangements?"
"Yes, ma'am!" rang out in a chorus and Claire was satisfied that she had done a decent job.
