Chapitre 139: I Love You Too, Claire

Claire didn't like the uncertainty but this was their best shot to put an end to all of this. It had to be done. 

Somehow this felt worse than the last time they purposely went up against people from the Agency. Possibly because of how badly that had ended up going. They both made it out alive but Alex now had programming in his brain that completely removed every trace of what made him Alex with a handful of measly words. 

She wished more than anything that she didn't have to send him in alone but she knew she would only be a liability. He would have been able to take everybody down last time if she wasn't being held hostage. 

Out of all the times Claire had felt powerless lately this one hit the hardest. There was nothing she could do to protect her friend if things went south except call him and pray his phone was still in his pocket when she did. 

"Hey, Alex…"

"Yeah?"
