Upon seeing the Fatman's eyes, Gan thought for a moment but it was a little too hard to think with this terrible stench wafting around. Gan told the Fatman to cover the cage with the outer barrier again to think a bit better. The Fatman didn't hesitate and covered the cage with the protective insolation he had removed.
"What do you think, are you still up for buying it?" The Fatman removed his mask, then he took out a handkerchief to wipe his sweaty forehead.
"Hmm, I don't know. If it cost too much, then I'm not interested but let me think a little." Gan said while rubbing his hairless chin.
"A-alright, but we'll sell it really low, I'll even give you a better deal." The Fatman seemed worried.
However, Gan had already made his decision, he had already decided that he would buy this Pokemon to add to his Team Rocket Squad. The nature of this Pokemon was conveniently good, and it was already a 3-star Pokemon.
Most Team Rocket members wouldn't add such a Pokemon to their team, but there were still quite a few who would be interested to add it. Muk had really good Hp and special defense, so it was perfect on a team with a Koffing, who was good at defense.
The thing was literally a walking, no, a slithering waste hazard!
"Okay, I guess I'll take them both off your hands since you're insisting so much." Gan smiled and said, but he never removed that Hazmat mask. He had taken off his clown mask to put this thing on, it was of terrible quality though.
It couldn't even guard against the gases around him. Thinking about it, he usually ran with Poison Pokemon a lot, so he would surely need a gas mask with his custom Team Rocket Uniform. Gan had already stolen the TM-Sandstorm from that stall owner.
He had a lot of Pokemon that could use escaping abilities, so stealing in the future may not pose so much trouble.
"Please reconsider, please buy... wait, what? What did you say, say it again!" The Fatman's eyes went wide from surprise, was he hearing things?
"I've decided to buy it to save you trouble since you insist so much!" Gan said it a bit louder this time.
"Hahaha!" The Fatman laughed and contiuned "Good, I'll mark it as sold, thank you for your patronage!"
"Can't I pay right here and now? I'll give you the money and you hand over the Pokemon to me, it's that simple." Gan wasn't trying to beat around the bush, he just wanted his Pokemon now.
"Ah, yes, yes, it can be done but some of them are a little feisty to deal with, particularly this Grimer." The man wanted to make sure that his Pokemon would obey him once they were given to him.
"Oh, that. Bring Grimer to a secluded area, I'll battle it with my Pokemon to tame it." Gan saw the problem, this Pokemon was taken straight out of the wild. He had to prove his strength to it or it would cause him trouble in the future.
"Wow, you're one of the first people to ask us to do something like that! Usually, the buyer would make sure the Pokemon would listen to them by using our 'means'." The Fatman was quite impressed and viewed Gan with more respect.
Gan viewed Pokemon as animals, at least the furry ones and ones similar to his previous world animals. As for the others, he wasn't sure but they still could comprehend and understand. Gan could only add them to the Animal category, or Monster Animals..
"I'll take this Growlithe first, I don't want my newly bought Pokemon to die on me because of 'Malnutrition'!" Gan's voice was sarcastic, and this was easily noticed by the Fatman. As someone working in sales, how could he not understand sarcasm?
"Well, I hope you're satisfied." The Fatman's mouth twitched, and he quickly arranged for someone to put Grimer's cage in a secluded battle arena.
Gan and the Fatman quickly left this area, it was starting to be too much hanging around this area. It was easy to tell how the people taking the cage away would feel. They went back over to the Growlithe he was buying.
Growlithe couldn't use its abilities because of the Collar on its neck. This served as an ability and move nullifier, stopping most Pokemon from acting out.
"You can catch it now, it was taken out of the wild when we found it. We speculate that it was abandoned, but we can't be sure." The Fatman suggested and said.
Gan opened the cage doors and Growlithe looked up and over at him soon after.
"Grrr!" She started to growl at him with a menacing expression, her eyes filled with threat and warning.
"Come on, I've come to save you, do you want to die in this place?" Gan tried to speak to it, but his voice fell on deaf ears.
After hearing what this Fatman said, he had a feeling that this Growlithe was indeed abandoned and betrayed by its previous owner.
Gan touched her fur, but he felt mostly bones with barely any muscle mass. He asked the Fatman why he was feeling nothing but bones on this Growlithe, didn't they feed it? The Fatman said it refused to eat and would only knock its food away, but it still drank water.
"This is going to be tougher than I thought." Gan sighed.
"Yes, no one should treat their Pokemon like that, love and mutual respect allows a Pokemon to advance further during the course of time." At that moment, both Gan and the Fatman heard a voice from behind them, so they turn towards the place they heard it from.
It was a man wearing a black trench coat with black loose pants. His eyes were sharp and yellow-orange like Mihawk's from One Piece. His hair was long and silvery, going down to the center of his back. He stood around 5"11 or so and behind him followed a Nidorino and a Weepinbell!
What really stuck out was what was on his trench coat, it was the Team Rocket Logo R!
'What kinda lame crap is that?' The Fatman thought.
"...." Gan really didn't know what to say in this matter, but he did agree with him.
"This Growlithe, it's sickly from more than what meets the eyes, I suggest getting it to a Pokemon Center right away." The man took one look at Growlithe and made this statement, he also shook his head seeing its condition.
"You guys don't have any doctors around here, what is the deal around here?" Gan suddenly looked at Fatman strangely.
"W-well, we do but they're mainly doctors for people... not Pokemon." The Fatman said with a strange smile.
Gan didn't know why but he felt like smacking this Fatman for some reason. Selling Pokemon with no doctors to cater to them if they got sick!?
"How flimsy, you guys aren't very organized. I hope you guys don't try to rip off and scam any Team Rocket Members." The man in black smiled as he looked at the Fatman, but there was a clear threat in his words.
"I-I wouldn't... you both are Team Rocket fellows, so I see you guys as the best customers here!" The Fatman hurriedly said.
"Both Team Rocket?" The man looked at Gan with knitted eyebrows, then he smirked.
"Yes, I'm also from Team Rocket, I'm here to purchase a few Pokemon." Gan didn't try to hide it, he couldn't anyway because of this Fatman's big mouth.
"I see, most Team Rocket Members keep a limit of 2 to 3 Pokemon in their Party due to expenses and budget." The man in black saw two PokeBalls on Gan's waist, which confirmed that Gan had two Pokemon trying to add a third.
"Who knows, maybe 3 is my limit, we'll have to see." Gan took out a Loveball and tossed it at Growlithe, This Growlithe needed all the love it could get. With the assistance of the Loveball, it should help with Growlithe's attitude in the future.
Growlithe was weak, so it couldn't resist the Loveball and break out, thus, it was encapsulated. Gan picked up the Loveball with a smile, but the next place he needed to head for was the Pokemon Center.
"I suggest getting a prescription for it, some medicine to restore it back to full health. If not, it can only die at this point." The man in black stated.
"Of course." Gan nodded and pushed the middle button on the Loveball, then it shrunk for him to add to his waist.
"Hehe, so what brings you over here, sir?" The Fatman said rubbing his hands together nervously, this trench coat man wasn't simple it seemed.
"Ah, yes, I haven't introduced myself, my name is Sylas, and what would your name be?" Sylas didn't even look at the Fatman, as his gaze landed on Gan.
"Agent X, but you can call me X for short since I haven't become an Agent yet." Judging from his dress code, he wasn't a normal member of Team Rocket.
"Agent X? I haven't heard of this name at the Viridian Branch before, are you from another branch, perhaps?" Sylas didn't assume that Gan was a fake because there was no way for him to enter here under a fake ID.
"I'm from the Celedon Branch, I just heard that Viridian had a good Black Market so I came running over. What about you, what brings you to this Black Market of all places?" Since he was being questioned, he asked his own question.
"Yes, about that. I've come for a Moon Stone, do you guys sell those around here?" Sylas finally looked at the Fatman, but Gan knew that he just wanted to evolve his Nidorino.
"I'm not sure, you'll have to check out the [Items Department], this is the [Pokemon Department]." The Fatman could answer as such.
Gan took the time to analyze his 2 Pokemon, it was a Nidorino and a Weepinbell.

'Well, shit!' Gan squinted looking at these stats.
"Ah, I guess I came to the wrong place, I'll ask someone for directions." Sylas nodded then looked at Gan. "We'll meet again, maybe. After all, I'll have to head to Celedon City sometime in the future anyway since it's the only place that sells Leaf Stones."
"Uh, sure." Gan just met this guy, why would he want to meet him just like that?
"I hope that Growlithe gets well, see ya." Sylas turned and left in a flash.
"Sir, that Pokemon has been rearranged at the battlegrounds, it's ready for whatever." Right then, a man came over to speak to the Fatman.
"Okay!" The Fatman nodded and signaled the man to leave.
"It looks like your Pokemon is ready for battle, let's head over but before that—you should pay first." This was the best course of action and Gan also thought the same, he could just defeat Grimer and leave afterward.
