Chapitre 9: The Ambush
This was my first experience being in this particular situation. I had been kidnapped in the past in the village, but never mugged. Daxton was knocked unconscious.Of course. If anything would prove he could have my trust, getting us out of this would be a great second step. Looks like I'm on my own. The guy that ordered them to then check our tent seemed like the boss.
"Hey! look there were two kids in the tent! The first comrade said.
At first I would think that O would turn invisible and hide them but it was still hard for him to control his power. When they brought Em and O out my heart dropped. I had never felt so helpless and furious apart from what happened to our village as I do now. I saw Os cheeks were a little red and damp. Meaning Em tried to turn on his power and it didn't work, and he was crying.
"Ay, Bose these kids are pretty lookers! They'd sell for a nifty price. Said the second comrade.
The boss got up and started walking to my siblings. He grabbed Ember's chin and forced her to look at his face. I could see Embers fear as I turned on my aura power and saw her violet light turn to a dark purple. I couldn't do it. I needed to turn this off and think of something useful to do. All I was doing was making myself increasingly angry.
"Wow look at her, she's going to be a real beauty when she grows up ain't she! She would make me a hefty sum indeed! Haha, right boys?!.
"Yeah boss! She seems young 8 or 9 maybe, too bad if she was a couple years older it would have been fun to have my way with her."
"Hey, why would you get a taste before me!"
"Ha haha" all of them were laughing.
Disgusting. I had never experienced this before or seen it,this would have been considered a sin in my village. I had to get us out of here fast. There were 4 guys in all. The one holding me looked like all skin and bones, but he was very tall. Another holding O and Em was the opposite. Buff looking but short compared to the rest of his comrades. The last guy watching Daxton was the youngest of the bunch, maybe mid twenties. He looked the best out of all of them but had nothing on Daxton. And of course the boss who was standing in front of Em, who was now making his way towards me. This guy had a long unkept beard and was at least in his thirties. Another thing I noticed was one of his eyes was missing. I wish I could claw out the other.
"What about this one." The boss asked the bong guy holding a knife to my neck.
"Haven't got to check yet captain, she's a struggler, and has a hold cover'in her face. But what I can tell from her body is she's not bad at all."
I shivered. I read in some of the history books that back in time people cared if one was a virgin or not, but that didn't apply to my village. Even so almost everyone waited to show their bodies to the person they would be with forever. mother and father told me that they thought I would be happier if I waited till I knew it was the right time with the right person. And now wasn't it. No way were they seeing my body or my sisters. At this moment I was thankful O was a boy. The boss then took the end of my hood and ripped it backwards exposing my face and hair. He then did to me what he did to Ember and grabbed my chin.
"Oh, what do you mean not bad! This girl is a real beauty. She seems to have two different eye colors! She would make us rich. She and the younger one have similar hair so they must be a family." He then started to talk to me. "With how stunning you are you will fetch an even higher price then your sister over there! Or should I keep you both to have my way with you or see how your sister turns out?"
I wanted to claw his face out. I would if it wouldn't risk exposing my powers. I know nothing about this new place except the social class, if people didn't have gifts like we do, I would put us in more danger.
"Alright, I decided." Said the boss. "I will keep this one here and sell the young girl over there."
"What about this little boy boss!" Said the gruff guy.
"Hmm, he is quite the pretty boy. We can use him to attract customers and train him well to be in our group. And the grown man there, we can jus—" he didn't finish before Daxton was up knocking him out.
"You were saying something about me?" He said while rushing over to knock out the buff guy holding my siblings."
"Don't move or she dies!" The guy holding me Exclaimed.
Too bad for him that while he was distracted watching Daxton I had grabbed my bow and already walked him on the head with it. Serves him right.
"Aww luv I thought I would finally get my chance to save you."
".. I don't need it. You got my siblings and that's what matters so let's take down the other gu-" I stopped because there was no one but us. He already knocked all the other three out. How did he do it so fast.
"Alright luv I think we should get out of here and there has been a change of plans. We're going to the kingdom of Adelaide instead of Rona. We need some time and then we can go to Rona. Let's save the questions for later."
Before I could say anything he held out his hand for me to take. O was clinging onto his back and he was holding Ember in the other arm. I guess Ember was in too much shock to care. But I couldn't blame her. I think I was too. Considering I listened to him and took his hand which led to him just using it to pull me closer and wrap his arm around my waist. Next thing I knew all I could see was black, and I felt like I was no longer on the ground.
