Chapitre 24: Chapter 23
Ellie flopped onto her bed. She was exhausted. She forgot how much energy the little devil's had. She looked out her window at the crimson sky, it would be dark soon, it would be best if she slept as she would be working tomorrow. Ellie dressed for bed and quickly fell asleep.
In the darkness she could hear a voice and a faint blue light glimmered in her room she sat up rubbing her eyes she peered at the blue light. There were voices coming from it. Whispering. Warning. Ellie couldn't hear what was being said but she felt afraid. Terror seized her and a dark looming figure pierced through the light, hurling the room into darkness once more. Red eyes cut through the darkness and a happy growl sounded.
"...Found you..." snarled the voice
Suddenly a flash and a bang as giant fangs raced to swallow Ellie whole...
Ellie woke up in a cold sweat, screaming. Asmodious was by her side shaking her to rouse her.
"Ellie wake up! Ellie! It's ok I'm here..."
Ellie looked around her surroundings it was night time. It must have been a bad dream. What a horrible dream, it had felt so real.
The pendant round her neck was glowing red but Ellie didn't notice. She burried her head into Asmodious chest and sobbed as he stroked her hair.
"Shh.. shh.. There, there..it's alright..I'm here..just a bad dream...shh..shh.."
Ellie calmed down but had no intention of returning to sleep. That dream was too scary for her, but she didn't fully understand why. The pendant had returned to being blue and no one had noticed the colour change. Asmodious looked at Ellie as if he was trying to read in her mind what she had saw. He embraced her again and stood up.
"If you can't go back to sleep you can come downstairs. Miranda is cooking breakfast just now anyway. "
Ellie nodded and got up. She washed and dressed after Asmodious left. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her face was very pale and her eyes puffy from crying. She sighed heavily. What was going on, this was the most trouble she had in her entire life and it seemed to all be happening at once. Ever since she came of age...
