Mu Lan couldn't be bothered with talking to this fool. At this point, she spotted a well-known director coming in her direction and decided to get acquainted. Unexpectedly Bei Rongrong acted in a flash, reaching out to yank Mu Lan to the back. Pushing herself forward, she simpered, "How do you do, Director Qin."

Mu Lan felt herself choking with anger, but she didn't want to be caught in an argument with Bei Rongrong lest it turned out looking ugly.

Unexpectedly, Director Qin completely ignored Bei Rongrong's attempt to boot-lick. His eyes scanned the room as though searching, then they suddenly lit up when he spotted Mu Lan's silhouette. "Miss Mu!"

Mu Lan turned and looked all around herself to verify that she was the only "Miss Mu" there. Then she asked hesitantly, "Director Qin did you just call out to me?"

Smiling broadly, Director Qin walked over to her and said, "CEO Luo has asked me to take you to her, she wants to introduce a few people. Come with me."

Mu Lan, "!!!"

…Sending a well-known director to come for her, Daddy Luo, you're too much!!

But Mu Lan had to admit, that felt really good. She stood straight and happily left with Director Qin in the midst of envious stares from Bei Rongrong and her clique.

The big bosses were gathered in an obviously more classy and quiet room. The moment she entered, she spotted Luo Qiao, who was chatting with the bosses in a true-blue female CEO style.

Luo Qiao spotted her and waved her over.

"Come here, Mu Lan. Let me introduce you, this is the boss of Fengying Media."

Zhang Lingling was teary-eyed as she came up to them. "CEO Luo, I'm very sorry for having said those things about you on Weibo. I was wrong and I hope that you will be magnanimous and not pursue this with me."

"Not pursue this… meaning?"

Looking delicately pitiful, Zhang Lingling said, "I have a collaboration with Eastern Vision Media, and do not wish to lose this opportunity because of my foolish choice of words. I know that CEO Luo is not a petty person, I hope for your forgiveness for what I have done."

Hearing this, Luo Qiao raised an eyebrow. "So based on what you're saying… I'd be a petty person if I pursued the matter?"
