Nana Gi grabbed her wooden spoon and looked at Esai with raging eyes. While Esai looked so pitiful with ingredients all over his body and clothes. "You!" She started but Calder composed himself and stepped forward. "Nana Gi why not have a small break? I will clean up the mess and get you some more ingredients." Calder said with a small smile.
Nana Gi looked at Calder and wondered if he could really clean up the mess Esai had created. "No, Nana Gi let me clean up my mess." Esai said in protest. "No! You are the King! Please, your Majesty, take the lovely Nana Gi out with you and have a cup of tea. I promise by the time you're all back I will have everything ready." Calder said in a panicked voice.
Esai looked at Calder then Nana Gi. Esai pursed his lips in protest but when he saw the admiration in Nana Gi's eyes he caved in. "Nana Gi, may I invite you and everyone else to a cup of tea in the garden?" Esai said with a slight bow. Nana Gi turned up her nose but the corners of her lips trembled as if fighting the urge to smile. "If you insist." She said as her cheeks started to blush.
"Oh, I do." Esai replied. "Very well." Nana Gi said as she brought forward her hand. "Thank you Nana Gi, I will let the butler know that we will be taking a short break." Esai said as he started to escort Nana Gi forward. "Thanks." Calder whispered but each person, Nana Gi and Esai assumed that Calder was thanking them. Esai smiled brightly while Nana Gi gave him a wink.
Calder was surprised and couldn't help but smile from the bottom of his heart. Esai froze for a second then started to beam. "Nana Gi, what are your feelings regarding floral teas?" Esai asked as they walked forward. "I love Jasmine." Nana Gi replied. "Fantastic! I think I will have the staff bring out my treasured Jasmine tea! It is rumored to extend life and bring about a youthful glow to it's drinkers." Esai exclaimed.
"Oh my your Majesty! You're treating this old lady too kindly." Nana Gi laughed. While everyone else was glued to their stations. They couldn't believe what they had seen and heard. "Oh, y-your Majesty I would love a cup of that tea!" A young woman said as she finally came back to her sense. The other's soon started to join in and the crowd followed Esai and Nana Gi out of the room.
Calder chuckled to himself and turned to the mess Esai had made. He laughed even harder as he recalled Esai covered in ingredients and stood helplessly in the center. "What's so funny?"
"Esai, I don't think he's going to change. I don't even think he realizes he left with egg in his hair." Calder replied. "He did look really silly."
"Ya he did but I think he did it for," Calder started to say then he realized he wasn't talking to himself. He quickly turned his gaze to the one talking to him. "Syria!" He shouted as he lost his balance. "Oh, watch out!" Syria said as she stretched out her arms and caught Calder but he was too heavy for her to stop the momentum.
They both crashed into the mess but Calder made sure to take the full blow of the impact. He had wrapped his arms around Syria and held her against his chest.. "Syria?" Calder called out as he found himself on his back and looking up at the ceiling.
"...."
"Syria are you okay?" Calder asked as he brought up his hand and stopped. It was covered in egg, flour and sugar. He wiped the mess on to his pant leg and then placed his clean hand on to the back of Syria's head. "Syria? Please answer, are you okay?' Calder said as he stroked the back of her head. "Why?" Syria said as she buried her face into Calder's chest.
"Well you fell because of me. I should at least make sure you're okay... but at the same time I don't want to move you if your not. What if I make things worse and you need medical attention." Calder said as he furrowed his brows. He didn't like thinking about how she could have gotten a head concussion.
"You know I'm not a good person... s-so you should stop being so kind to me." Syria said as she grabbed Calder's shirt, collecting it while she balled her hands into fists. "You stayed behind to help me clean up. I think you are very kind." Calder replied. "But I also keep hurting you." Syria said in a shaky voice. "... I want to think you have your own reasons." Calder said sweetly. Syria started to shake. "Oh crap! You really got hurt." Calder said as he shot up and pulled Syria from his body.
"I thought you wouldn't move me?" Syria said as tears rolled down her face. Calder gulped, she looked so sweet and innocent crying that his mind went blank. Calder caught her chin and kissed her softly. "You answered, so it can't be that bad." He whispered after he removed his lips an inch away from hers.
"W-what are you doing?" Syria said breathlessly as her whole face flushed. "Helping your wounds. They say a kiss can heal anything." Calder said shamelessly. Then he quickly pecked her lips and flashed her a devilish grin. "Just making sure it worked." He replied. Syria was dumbstruck. "I think if I kiss you again, 'someone' might claim that it's sexual harassment." Calder said with an awkward cough but he couldn't hide his playful smile. Syria shot straight up and glared at Calder.
"You are absolutely!" She managed to say through clenched teeth. "Charming? Yes, yes I know but this charming man has to get a job done before the class comes back." Calder laughed as he got off the floor. "Y-yes we should do that." Syria said as she tried to act like nothing happened. "We?" Calder asked as he looked at Syria. "Yes we. This mess is all my fault to begin with." Syria said as she glared.
"Your fault? How?" Calder asked in surprise.
