The most challenging thing about their situation was finding a way to Bulldog Alfie without getting sniped by a [RAY OF LIGHT] which, surprisingly, had a much further range than Alfie's general use of the spell suggested.
Still, Black Howler was excellent at platform games, and it was simply a matter of timing his jumps right after Alfie fired a shot from his hiding spot a hundred yards away from where the team was gathered.
"Let's go knock some sense into that idiot," Black Howler had growled.
Per Ath3na's orders, only the most nimble of them had gone. The rest hunkered down and offered themselves up as decoys to Alfie, who, in his addled state, was quite random in his choice of targets. As Argonaut was the biggest of the lot, more often than not the laser was aimed at him.
Hey, fellow reapers!
So I need to get something out of my chest. Earlier today, I received a tip from a dude named Ramon (awesome name) that informed me someone was plagiarizing this work [#GMofS] on Amazon.com. Seriously, they even had the gall to change the name to GAME MASTER: THE SOUL HARVESTER -- Stupid name, I know... And other than changing the name of the characters (not even good ones at that... I mean, come on, Lione Dante and Morganth! Seriously!!!) the content remains the same. So far it's only the first volume but that's 45 chapters that someone is taking credit for and I am so effing annoyed right now.
Here's the link if you want to see it but please, please don't buy this book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HX8C9JW/ref=rdr_kindle_ext_tmb
If you love #GMofS, write a scathing review for me too. Lol! Pettiness aside, this is the kind of thing that makes us authors afraid to publish our work -- because there's an asshole in some part of the globe who wants to take our blood, sweat, and tears and call it theirs.
I've already reported it but I do hope Amazon pulls it down asap.
More chapters tomorrow. Might do a double release next. :D
