Chapitre 43: Aiden disappeared

"Maybe, who knows! But I can assure you one thing for sure, only if we stick with him, then we will find out who actually is Aiden or who this Jayden is!" Jennifer replied.

Immediately, Elina tightened her seat belt and sat down quietly. Jayden did not agree or disagree anymore. Anyway, it looks like his wife is even smarter than he gave credit for her to be.

And he was really not good at lying or keeping secrets. It was just that Aiden always took care of it for him whenever they faced such troubles. They went to different schools in different states. It was also similar when they went to college. They choose different majors and in different countries to be precise. They planned and took care of everything properly. They always shared each and every small detail that happened to them to avoid any loopholes.

Until they met these two angel-devils everything was going perfect; one with devil face and angelic character, Elina! And another his wife, Jennifer, with an angelic face and devil character. We started to hide things from each other, like how I fell in love with Jennifer and Aiden with Elina. He was sure if he did not like Elina, then he would have never let her near him.

Once he reached the underground palace, he saw that almost everyone came back but with severe injuries on their bodies.

"Didn't our boss got hurt in the last mission and even get captured? How did he come back safe and alive?" Someone asked in the group.

"Because he is not our boss. He is simply an imposter. Catch him and throw him in our dungeon" Axe shouted and lifted his weapon.

"No! Stop! Before anyone could reach him, you will have to go through me!" Jennifer jumped before Jayden and took out the sleeping spray which she hid it in her bag.

She sprayed it at all of them without showing any mercy. Almost every one of them fell into a deep sleep the next instant, they spray hit their nose. The remaining few tried to fight them all at once. But long before they could even touch any of them, they all fell down the next minute. Jennifer turned and looked at Jayden, who acted faster than wind.

"I am an expert who knows how to knock one to sleep just by hitting a particular point on the body. Do you want me to try it on you?" Jayden moved near Jennifer.

"If you come near, I will spray this sleeping drug on you!" Jennifer moved behind in an alarming way.

"Oh! Relax! I won't do such a thing to my dear wife."

"Who is your wife? We are going our separate ways, remember after you cheated with my best friend behind my back!"

"Oh! Come on! You know now that I am not the one who did...that with her. That's my brother, Aiden. Maybe I should try with Elina instead. If we knock her off, then I would get some time to spend with you alone. By the way, where is Elina?" Jayden asked.

When he asked about Elina, he realised that even his brother was faster than him. But look at him, even after so many days of marriage all he could do is sneak and kiss his wife once in a while.

"So he is your brother? Like twin brothers? Identical? Amazing. How do your parents differentiate you both? Is Aiden the elder one or you?" Elina jumped out of nowhere from her hiding spot and asked too many questions at one go.

"Relax! I will answer all of your questions later or you better ask Aiden yourself. Right now we do not have much time left! I will explain everything once we locate where he is! He might be in danger since his men said he was captured during this mission." Jayden said.

"Do you know where he went on this mission or what is it all about?" Jennifer asked.

"I do not know anything! I stopped interfering in all of this and started to concentrate on my business recently. I wanted to stay away from this underworld as it is definitely not my cup of tea. But I know how to find out where he went. Follow me girls! Let's bring Aiden home."

They all went to Aiden's bedroom. Jayden then pressed a button which then displayed a secret door hidden behind a heavy wardrobe. Once they went inside, they saw a spiral staircase going upwards.

"This is the place where we used to keep all our secrets. And also this played as our secret hideout place when we wanted to be alone. No one knows about its existence until now, except you both." Jayden said.

"So you are finally agreeing that there are now two people with the same face?" Jennifer asked.

"Do I have an option now? Anyways, I love you! How can I hide anything from you after you showed everything of yours to me?"

"How dare you speak like this in front of my best friend? Have you lost your desire to live?" Jennifer hit Jaden on his shoulders.

"Ouch! It really hurts! I just recently got released from the hospital and you both are not showing any mercy to me. Are you really the devils who came from the underground to kill me by punching me to death?"

"Who are you calling devils? You are the devil and your brother is another devil for fooling me and Elina." Jennifer shouted.

Elina just climbed the stairs silently watching these two fight like kids. She had never seen Jennifer like this for a long time, full of high spirit. Especially after that incident, which happened three years ago that made her lose trust in everything around her. She just hoped that Jennifer would come out of it and live a happy life from now on.

"Elina, don't you think you are too silent today? What happened? Is something bothering you?" Jennifer asked.

"Jayden, can you answer my questions truthfully? Is Aiden hurt? Or is he in danger?" Elina asked who was now almost having her heartache just by asking that question. She wanted to hear that Aiden is safe and she wants nothing more than that.

"I don't know for sure. He is not someone who would go on a mission without proper preparations. We will find out as soon as we get to know what happened exactly?" Jayden said after a long time while holding his breath.

He knows something is definitely wrong just by looking at that message which came on his phone. And when he reached the underground palace and saw Aiden's men with severe injuries, he was now sure that this mission was a complete failure.

"Here we are. Now girls find any clues related to this mission. We need to figure it out where he went and sooner the better. As we don't have much time left, every second is precious for us now." Jayden said while trying to move towards Aiden's desk.

Elina searched the stacked boxes while Jennifer went to search the table drawers. When she found some files which had code words written all over, she showed them to Jayden.

"Oh! These are all related to the old missions. They are of no use now."

Even after searching for a long time, they did not find even a single paper or a hint related to his current mission. Elina looked around the room and her eyes fell on the dustbin. She flipped the bin upside down. She started to check each and every content which fell down from the dustbin carefully.

"Hold on! I think I know where he went." At that time Jayden shouted and turned back.

But when he turned around, he saw Elina squatting in front of the pile of dustbin's content and digging around. He looked at her in awe and asked,

"What are you doing?"

"I read in one crime novel that the detective finds clues from the things from the dustbin. So, I thought to give it a thorough inspection."

"You mean, you will find a clue from this banana peel, a bottle cap, and a few rubbish papers which he threw on the bin?" Jayden asked sarcastically.

"Who knows, what we may find? And look at these shredded papers, why are they here in the first place as there is no shredding machine around." Jennifer asked while supporting Elina.

"Maybe he just got them upstairs by mistake," Jayden said.
