Chapitre 20: Jennifer stabs Jayden!

When Jennifer came out, she couldn't find Jayden anywhere. Finally relaxing her body a little, she went towards the sofa while picking a slice of toasted bread, which Jayden brought earlier.

Jayden came from a room adjoined to the main bedroom and stood behind her. He pulled the bread out of her hand from behind the sofa. When he tried to take the bread away, Jennifer felt his hand brush her fingers slightly which made her feel as if she received an electric shock.

She blushed and she felt like her brain was short-circuited. Jayden ate the remaining half of the bread and came around to sit next to her. Jennifer jumped up as soon as Jayden sat on the sofa.

"What happened?", Jayden asked worriedly.

"Nothing", Jennifer tried to reply casually, while moving away to sit on the bed.

Jayden smiled while thinking that he very much liked teasing her. Her blush made him feel excited and wanted to tease her even more. So, he got up from the sofa and moved towards her.

When Jennifer looked up, she saw Jayden walking towards her with a smile spread across his face and twinkling eyes. She felt like she had seen such an expression before and that person was someone close to her.

How much ever she tried to recall the person she could not, as her thoughts were only filled with Jayden. She was almost on the verge of forgetting the outside world.

Jennifer shook her head to clear her mind and got up from the bed, "Stop! Do not come near me".

"Why?", Jayden asked while looking at her innocent eyes.

He found everything to be thrilling and the way she was looking at him now seemed new to him. She was definitely not like this when they first met. She would jump on him like a cheetah and did not show any mercy at all before.

But now, he felt a sudden change in her attitude and he wanted to see more of this side from her. So he gathered his courage even more and walked near her. But by this time Jennifer's head cleared as she remembered her past experience.

She stood on guard and decided to strike hard if he tried anything funny. Jayden, who did not notice her change at that time, moved forward carelessly.

All he knew was that he just lifted his hand to touch her blushing face to stroke it once. But before his hand could even reach her anywhere near, she did a flip by holding his hand which made him fall on his stomach.

She then held one of his hands behind his back and sat on his back. Jayden did not expect that his romantic moments would end up with a flip from his wife. He got stunned for a second and the words got stuck in his mouth.

He felt like his wife was taking too much advantage of his weak heart. He tried to move but Jennifer held his hand even more firmly and gave it a twist.

"Ouch!! Leave me!! Leave my hand… It is painful like hell… Ouch! Ouch! Ouch," Jayden screamed.

At that time one of the maids who was just passing by stopped and tried to peek in between the door. The scene which she saw made her gasp in awe, she immediately took a u-turn and ran around to call the bodyguards for help.

However Jaden tried, Jennifer just would not lose her grip. So he lifted his other hand to push her away but instead his hand touched her chest. Jennifer for a second lost her control and bit his hand.

Looking at the jungle cat who is now started to bite, Jayden started to twist his body around. All the shaking made Jennifer lose her balance, so she left his hands and held onto his body so that he could not get up.

When he saw that both his hands were free and one of his hands had her teeth bite mark, he whispered, "My dear wild cat! Let us see who wins this game today? I was going easy on you previous time but today I am not going to show any mercy."

He pushed her down in a swipe and held her hands above her head. He slowly moved his face towards her and asked, "Now, what should I do with you, darling?"

"Do not even try anything funny. You do not know what I am capable of!" Jennifer roared.

They both started rolling on the floor for some time while trying to win against each other. Jennifer did not hesitate even a bit and used all her moves to hurt him as much as possible.

Meanwhile, Jayden struggled with controlling his power and also blocking all hits which he received from Jennifer. He even tried to make sure to not let her get hurt in the process.

Despite that, he still received a few kicks which might cause bruises later. He did not mind it as it was his dear wife who gave them. He knew that she would be worn out sooner if she used all her strength at once.

When he looked lifted his face to meet Jennifer's eyes, he saw fear and unpleasant emotion. It made him wonder, did he by mistake bring back her old memories?

Jayden got confused when he saw such an expression. He thought she was just trying to show her anger at him because of his teasing and flirting. But right now, the fear in her eyes said something else.

When he noticed that Jennifer was almost going out of control, he pushed her onto the bed. Using his legs he held Jennifer's legs into a tight lock. He regretted acting so foolishly and even triggered her past unhappy memories.

Jayden still did not find out about the reason behind her aggressive behavior. And it looked like his action triggered her hidden emotions to come out. He held both her hand with one hand and stroked Jennifer's back while whispering, "It's ok! It's ok now. I am here for you, baby. It is ok now"

After struggling for a few more minutes, Jennifer calmed down slightly. But when she heard the door open and a few steps coming towards them, She pushed Jayden away using all her strength.

Jennifer ran towards the food cart which Jayden brought in the morning and took a fruit knife. She held it towards everyone and threatened them.

"If anyone came near me, I would not show any mercy to you. I would make sure that you die a horrible death", Jennifer shouted hysterically.

Jayden's bodyguard took their loaded gun and pointed at her. Before anyone could realize, one of the bodyguards shot at her in a blink of an eye. Jayden who was thrown away by her push got up realizing the situation and in a hurry, he moved in front of her.

Jennifer, who thought that Jayden was trying to catch her, stabbed his back while he took a bullet almost near his heart in the front. The blood oozed out and the shooter tried to leave the place quietly.

"If you do not catch that culprit who was responsible for this, then do not even imagine staying alive. I will hunt down your family and even your ancestors if you let him go", Jayden with great difficulty uttered a warning before losing his consciousness.

Jennifer whose hands were covered with blood, saw Jayden falling down. She felt as if she was woken up from a dream and realized what she did. She got up and rushed towards the phone. She immediately dialed for an ambulance and then looked around her.

Everyone who stood like a statue started reacting. Some moved towards their boss while a few rushed forward to hold her down. The shooter moved slowly away from there with a smile on his face while thinking that no one noticed what he did.

That idiotic girl had it coming to her from the beginning and she even helped him cover his tracks. He almost escaped away but before he could reach the gate, a car stopped next to him with dust rising above the ground.

Axe got down and pushed him into the car before the shooter could even realize what happened, while Sam drove the car away at high speed towards the underground palace.
