Chapitre 6: Chapter 6 (Thoughts & Invitations)
"Are you avoiding me?" Ascelin asked with a stupid smirk.
"Uhm...no.." I blushed turning around and walked away leaving the door open.
"Yeah right, come on in Ascelin," Sydney said waving him in and I frowned, why did you invite him in our room.
"Thanks for the invitation," Ascelin said smiling over at Sydney as he slowly walked in.
"You're not suppose to be in the girls dorm without permission," I mumbled trying to slow down my heart rate.
"Before you start making excuses of wanting him to leave, maybe you should whip that smile off your face and stop blushing. Sending mix message here," Sydney said and I send her a death glare, "I'm just going to leave y'all to it, but classes starts in ten minutes."
"Sydney..."
"See you!" Sydney singed skipping out our room and closed the door leaving us alone.
"Come here!" Ascelin said.
"You're going to get me in trouble," I said hiding my smile turning to my dresser, "Headmaster told me to be careful around you guys."
"You mean the Vampire Hunter?" Ascelin said.
"What? Vampire Hunter?" I said turning to him.
"People that search and hunt vampire and slaughtered them," Ascelin said with a distasteful look.
"No, no, the headmaster isn't....he doesn't know about you guys," I mumbled slowly, "how can a vampire hunter be a headmaster at an mortal school, it doesn't sound right."
"Cover up maybe, or maybe his planning something. He did let us attend this school knowing what we are," Ascelin said shrugging his shoulder, but I can feel he was leaving something out.
"When you don't tell me the truth or just half of it, are you doing that for my safety?" I asked grabbing my hair pin from the dresser and start clipping both sides of my hair back as I walk over to him.
"Mostly! But really because I don't think you are ready to hear the whole truth," Ascelin said.
"Oh," I mumbled looking at the ground. The truth? How much do Ascelin King really know about me? What connects do Ascelin have to me and why is this all happening now?
"A lot of questions is going through your mind, huh, Rose?" Ascelin said rubbing my cheeks with his cold soft hand and I slowly nod, "You can ask one question, one question that I will answer truthfully, after that, the rest will have to wait until I think you're ready to hear it."
"One question?" I mumbled glancing into his eyes as I thought what was I going to ask him.
"You don't have to ask me now? You have all day to think about it," Ascelin said grabbing my hand and pulled me towards him placing a kiss on my forehead.
"Ok," I mumbled pulling away from him and went to grab my bag. "class is almost starting, I should go."
"One more thing!"
"What.." I said turning to him and that's when his lips fell onto mine. Shit, how come kissing a vampire feel so good. Ascelin without another word pulled away and left my room.
Damn, he finesse his way into kissing me again.
"So what happened in the room?" Sydney asked when I flop down next to her in first period.
"Nothing, don't worry about it," I said. Sydney was about to say something, but the teacher came in to start class. All morning long all I could think about was Ascelin, the kisses, and what I was going to ask him.
Should I just be an asshole and ask him to tell me everything? But I'm scared that he will leave and I will never see him again. He knows some things about me and possibly something about my parents death and if I want to know what it is then I will have to play my cards right. He wants to have control, I can see it in his eye, but I can also see how much he admire and loves me. So I don't know what to feel towards him or what I'm suppose to do. Every time his around I can't control my attraction towards him. The way he talks to me and touch me is so refreshing and enlightening that leaves me wanting more, but I can't help but have my guard up.
"Ms. Rose!" My Literature teacher yelled towards me knocking me out of my thoughts. I looked over at her and she told me that the Headmaster wish to see me.
"Oh...ok," I mumbled glancing back at Zero and Jarmee to see them look straight at me. I quickly grabbed my stuff and head out the classroom door. When I made it to the Headmaster office I knocked softly then wait for him to call me in.
"Come in!" He said.
"You wanted to see me?" I asked stepping into his office closing the door. I went to go sit down in front of his desk and I look up to see the Headmaster looking down at me in disappointment, "what?"
"I told you to be carefully around Mr. King and the rest of them..."
"I am!"
"Then why the hell you left school with Ascelin?" Headmaster asked.
"Why you care?"
"Because...because..." He said before shutting his mouth.
"Then stop worrying about me, Headmaster, I'm sorry that I left school, it wouldn't happen again, but I know how to handle myself and I don't need you to tell me who I can and can't hang out with," I said getting up walking to the door.
"They are not whom they seem be, Ms. Noelia?" He said and I laughed.
"Clearly cause who the hell can be that hot and sexy...it's like they're inhuman," I said watching his reaction and the Headmaster look at me wide-eyed. Hmmm, is Ascelin telling the truth, because Headmaster does seems to know what the creep squad is.
"What?"
"Nothing, just a thought," I said before leaving his office. Thank god it's lunch time, I walked towards the cafe to see Sydney already at the table. I went to get my lunch before making my way towards Sydney.
"You stupid, whore," some said coming up behind me and I turned around to see Giselle and Kassala.
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"Can you for once stop seducing men into your bed?" Giselle asked and I gasped.
"I'm not seducing any fucking body in my bed, the last person I've been with was Troy. If you're talking about Ascelin and the rest of the creeps, they're just my friends, well not really...acquaintances really. What, are you mad that they wouldn't even look your way to the point that you have to defame my character?"
"What character, exactly, because since you got here you have a bunch of them," Kassala scoffed back and I smiled.
"It's called growth, honey, I see you don't know nothing about that," I chuckled and they both took a threatening step towards me, "why do y'all hate me so much? Is it because of Troy, I didn't know him and Kassala had a thing at the time. He didn't bother to tell me that before we slept together..."
"Shut up!"
"Did I hit it before you?" I asked wanting to get under her skin because what she didn't know was that I overheard her and Margarine talking about Troy and her, and how angry she was that I slept with Troy before her.
Kassala eyes wide in shock probably wonder how I found out about that information and I smiled.
"You b****..." she hissed and that's when Sydney came up behind me placing her arm around me.
"Hey bestie is everything alright?" She asked.
"Yeah, let's go!" I said leaving the two and walk over to my table and took a seat.
"You can't catch a break, huh?" Sydney chuckled sitting beside me and I laughed.
"Maybe I just need to go home..."
"No, why?" Sydney asked holding my arm and I sighed.
"I'm just tired of defending myself that's all," I mumbled looking over at Sydney and she frowned at me.
"Then I'll defend you, we're almost done Noelia, can't you just hold out a little bit more," Sydney said hugging me and I sighed.
"Ok, I'll try," I said eating one of my fries.
"Thank you! But I do have to tell you something," Sydney blushed shyly and my eyes widen.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Merkai kissed me," Sydney said and I could feel how happy she was, I didn't even know that she had this much feelings towards Merkai.
"Already?"
"What? Ascelin kissed you?" She said.
"Oh, right," I said covering my face, "what? So would you like date her?"
"Would you date Ascelin?" She asked and I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't know, it's more complicated when it comes to me and him," I mumbled and Sydney rolled her eyes.
"Well, I really like Merkai. She's amazingly beautiful and smart, and I don't know....she just makes me happy," Sydney smiled.
"I'm happy for you, and I really hope she treats my best friend right or we're going to have a problem."
"The same with Ascelin," Sydney said and I rolled my eyes. A few minutes later, the creep squad finally made there appearance and made there way towards us.
"Hello ladies!" Jarmee said taking his seat next to me. Jarmee is the only person that says hello to us when they come over to the table, as the rest just take their seats. Jarmee might be annoying but at least his a gentlemen and I'm starting to like him. I look over at Merkai and Sydney to see them whispering and smiling at each other and I can't help but wonder if Merkai is missing with my friend for the wrong reason. Hmmm?
I took out my sketchbook and a pencil, I flipped to my unfinished drawing of a Rose and start drawing.
"You draw?" Jarmee asked shocked and I nod, he quickly grabbed his bag and pulled out his sketchbook and start showing me his drawings, "me too."
"Wow!" I said taking his book and start flipping through it admiring his drawing as Jarmee flipped through mine. He's hot and he can draw, damn, how perfect can someone be.
"How you do that? Get the shading so perfect."
"The trick is to blend it with your fingers to make it more smoother," he said and I nod.
"Hey, you're drawing a roses too," I smiled up at him and Jarmee grinned.
"I am, but I'm not done," Jarmee said taken back his book and set it on the table. He pulled out his drawing pencil and start drawing and I watched in awe, "how is it?"
"Beautiful!" I said leaning closer to him placing my book in front of me to continue to draw my rose, "but not better than mine."
"Whatever," Jarmee chuckled and I smiled.
"Hey, are you guys going to the party tonight?" Merkai and my attention was on her.
"That will depends if we feel like it," Sydney asked and I nod my head.
"Then why don't you guys come to our house," Merkai smirked and my eyes quickly went to Ascelin and he was look straight at me.
What the hell is he planning?
