Chapitre 139: Immature Love

After reaching Ilyan's home, a hesitant Irene lingered outside as she struggled to make up her mind about how she was supposed to bother Lorenzos at that hour. 

Ilyan tapped on her shoulder. "You are still the same. Think ten times before doing anything."

Darting him a furious glare, she slapped his hand away and walked inside.

Chuckling, Ilyan followed her as her mild irritation left him shaking his head with a faint smile. 

Irene was welcomed by Christina the moment she sensed her presence. Being enveloped in a warm hug by Christina was starting to become Irene's favourite feeling. Everytime Christina's hand caressed her hair, she would see the void of a mother that she had always had in her life disappear. 

Christina brought the warmth to Irene that she had longed for all her life.
