He raised his head to face Louis and continue their conversation. The only thing he could see at the direction of Louis is blackness, there is nothing else except blackness.
Then when he heard something being said to him from the direction behind him. He quickly stood up from the chair that weirdly got transferred too.
There he saw the bright purple light emitted from something unknown from this world. He looked at it while sweating nervously like a waterfall and standing there for a few seconds.
The light just stayed at its place while levitating off the ground. It didn't make any sound for a few moments. Arden was a bit relieved seeing there is nothing weird is happening.
'What is wrong with this light? Why do I feel some dangers coming this way?' He asks himself in his own mind and waited for something to happen.
That's when the light started laughing, the laugh of an evil being, "HaHaHaHa! I have found you at last! Just wait! I will come when I'm done with my business
He feels something pierced his heart and hold it as best as he could, 'What is this feeling! I feel like being pierced by buffalo horn!'
Arden quickly rips a piece of cloth out of his clothes he is wearing, then formed a ball out of it and bit it as hard as he could, 'Oh God! Please, make this pain go away!'
As soon as he said that, another light suddenly appears beside him, emitting the red bright light. He looked at it and thought it was a God coming to his side.
He waited for it to do something to him, but that never happened. Instead, the red bright light said something, "How dare you do this to your own kind!"
Both of them immediately disappeared while Arden just kneeled in the middle of the blackness and touch his chest while biting the clothes as hard as he could.
He closed his eyes in hope to relief the pain and waited for a few seconds. Almost immediately, his pain was gone, in fear of the pain coming back, he continued closing his eyes.
Curiosity hit him hard in the mind and soon, he opened his eyes a little just to see where he was. That's when he saw Sean's face, nervously sweating while showing the worried look.
He opened his eyes like normal and quickly sighed in relief, realizing he was gone from the weird place. As soon as he opened his eyes, Sean, being a good father-in-law he is, asked him, "Are you okay? Is there anything wrong?"
He heard the question and proceed to check his body. He started touching the part of his body that he felt pain just a few minutes ago and there was none.
He then proceeds to see the part where he ripped some cloth from his clothes and weirdly, there was no damage in his clothes. It just disappeared into thin air.
He started thinking about it and made some theory, 'Where is the pain? Where is the cloth I ripped from my own clothes? Illusion? Is there even power like that?'
Arden was confused about this and began wandering around his mind. Suddenly, a loud sound came from outside of the house, a thunder dropping from the sky.
His mind was disrupted as he sees the thunder slowly disappear into the grey sky. As Arden, Sean and the kids in the house looked at it baffled seeing the thunder. Water started dripping from the sky. Rain is coming.
Sean quickly turned his attention to Arden and said to him, "You better get to your home quickly, I can accompany you using the tunnel"
To which Arden responded with, "I don't want to trouble you, I'll go now from the way I came to this place"
Sean looked at him with his confused look. Seeing a man that brave to go through extreme weather that will come in his way, Sean quickly dropped down to his seat.
While Sean sat down to his seat, Arden was making his way toward the door and already opened it. He was about to leave but got stopped by Sean, "Hey, take this book"
Arden looked behind him and saw Sean's arm extended with the book on his hand. While not wasting anytime, he approached him and took the book, it was the book that is filled with information about the treasury.
Arden looked at it for a few seconds before quickly placing it in the big pocket he has in his shirt. He said "thank you" before making his way toward the door and making his way toward his home.
As he makes his way toward his castle using the way he used to go to Sean's house. The rain became heavier and heavier, resulting in him making his pace faster and ended up running.
Thunder began dropping from the clouds with the waters as he ran on the path in the fields as best as he could and try not to slip.
He entered the city after a few minutes of making his way from the field. As he ran in the empty road of the city, filled with no people in his vision. He began having some bad feeling about tomorrow.
As thought began showing up in his mind, he quickly dismissed them and focused on making it to his castle. In the end, he succeeded. The castle yard is empty, everyone takes shelter inside the castle itself. Even the door was closed from the outside world, making sure no water came into the castle.
Arden was a little bit panic seeing no entrance he could use to get inside the castle. The only thing that came in his mind was to knock on the door loudly. So… he did what his mind told him to do.
He approached the main door and began knocking on the door loudly. Unfortunately, no one opened the door after he has knocked on it for some time.
He looked down at the floor and was about to give up. But his mind basically says to him "Don't give up, continue knocking at the door, if you need, bang it until the door is broken" this made him continue knocking on it.
Suddenly, a person opened the door. He looked at him and saw the chef hat. As soon as he saw this, he knew it was Hans, the main chef.
Both of them made eye contact for a few seconds before Hans realized what the situation is. He began calling from some of the butlers and maid. All of them came instantly and began helping Arden that is soaked in water.
The door was closed, and everyone was happy that day and no one was injured. That's when a fever hit him hard. He began feeling not well and was put into his bed after the servants cleaned him.
Arden slept at the bed while feeling his head was about the burst. His wife was beside him all that time, always got panicked every time her husband began telling nonsense in his dream.
Meanwhile, in Arden's dream, Arden saw something bad that happened for the kingdom. The king died and his son takes over. But soon, the new king will mess up badly.
That's was the end of his dream and he quickly woke up from the shock he is having after seeing what will happen in the kingdom. That's when he began praying for it not to happen.
While hoping the situation in his dream not happening, he caught a glance of the situation outside his room from the window and saw it was already morning.
That's when his wife suddenly woke up beside him and quickly asking, "Are you good? Do you feel well? Can you move from the bed and walk normally?"
From her tone only, Arden already knew that she is worried for him. He smiled at her and responded with, "Yea, I feel fine, I'm better than yesterday thanks to you and the other in this castle"
That's when their moment was interrupted by a knock on the door. Both of them looked at it for a few seconds before Valen said to him, "I'll get it, stay at your place"
It was then Arden felt something very bad will be given from whoever behind that door. He quickly said, "No! I'll get it"
He stood up from his bed as his wife sat back down, Arden began approaching the door slowly and hope it's not the messenger. He then slowly opened the door and caught a glance of that the bag messenger always brought with him.
He then took a gulp and opened the door fully. There he saw the messenger with his arm extended and a letter. Arden grabbed it and grab his money bag on the table, then giving an Auren to the messenger.
He then closed the door as the messenger gave him a big smile across his face. Arden then placed the letter in the table before sitting at the bed.
