Jennie was now her opponent as what she suggested. She walked calmly before making a post in front of the crowd. She smirked at her but instead of receiving the reaction she imagined, she received silence. Leilein staying silent gave her confidence. She was like a predator who overlooked at her prey.
"take it easy, Jennie," Tzuyu whispered, smirking at the clueless Leilein. For her, victory was clear in her path. No one's going to block her from having it.
She raised her head when she promised, "Don't worry, I will."
Once the coach blew his whistle, Jennie didn't hesitate to attack first. Although she was startled at her lame attack, she managed to get a hang of it. Leilein was expressing her thoughts by showing 1/16 of her half strength as she reminded herself that her bruises were still fresh. Her other strength energy concerted into a healing energy to heal her wounds. That was the most important thing for her, as of now.
The fight was very intense and it was good for a whole hour. At the end when she turned around and was about to jump, Jennie saw the opportunity to kick her leg. Sadly, that opportunity was a sign that she was cheating. At first, no one noticed it since she did it flawlessly but when Tao shouted, the referee blowed the whistle and everyone quietly listened. Tap slammed the palm of his hand on his forehead as a result of the coach's dumb coaching. Tao talked to their coach and discussed about what Jennie did.
"you can't just ignore that, coach."
Jennie felt embarrassed as Tao looked at her intensely, knowing her motif. Both of them stopped and Leilein stood still. The referee explained to Jennie that doing that one was very wrong, she must wait till Leilein finish her move and when she was about to kick, then that's the time, she defendz herself, but being a girl like her, she did not listen.
Being an arrogant, she sneered at Leilein, " Damn you Leilein. It was normal for a real fight. That's it. How about a rematch huh?"
Everyone was shouting and framing Jennie. It was probably the first time the crowd embarrassed her. After fully talking with the headmaster, they announced the winner and sadly, it wasn't her.
Jennie was fuming in anger. She didn't accept that she won and not her, it was her first time losing. She didn't like to lose to others. It made her feel weak.
Suddenly, she grabbed Leilein's shoulders and threw a punch at her. Her punch was nothing to her but blood flows out on her lips. There was a small cut. She smirked before smiling at her.
The boys were quick to notice and immediately ran to her. Jimin was angry and cussed at Jennie, making her cry and ran away from embarrassment. Lisa glared at Leilein before leaving the scene along with the other girls.
When the boys examined her, they were all loud and cussed even if she told them that she was fine but stubbornly they insist.
"is having a cut on your lip a fine thing?" Jimin sarcastically asked, while wiping the blood on her lips.
"I do wonder what happened to your high IQ," Daniel said while scoffing at her.
The headmaster called Jennie over for a serious quick talk. She thought that she could escape from the scene but she was caught. She told the other girls to leave her alone and go back to the tent.
Some students were completely disappointed at her. Some were smiling, seeming proud of her. They went back with frowns on their faces and Leilein noticed it.
She went to them and asked what was wrong. When she knew the reason why, she tried to give her best advice. At first, she was nervous since they were on Jennie's side but she didn't like seeing people frowning because of little things. No matter which side they were, she would set their differences aside.
Soon, they become friends and smiles can be seen clearly in the dark place. They bowed at her, knowing that she was also their senior before they left the place.
She went back to her tent with a smile and she listened to a music. Daniel, Jihoon and Jimin were crept out looking at her creepy smile.
"You! Why do you kept on smiling like that?" Jihoon asked, seemingly scared and shook his body, trying to shake the image of her creepy face.
"Nothing," she smiled, thinking of what happened a while ago. She was just glad that she finally socialized with the people around her.
"Stop it you guys, she's just glad." Jimin said taking the towel from his shoulder and wiped his sweat on his forehead before he went to arrange her aid kit.
After a long night, the headmistress suggested that they should have a campfire. She still couldn't believe of what happened a while ago. She had taken care of Jennie but she never knew she could act like that.
Everyone was gathered for a campfire. They were on their pajamas and everyone laughed at their sleepy faces. It was the first time they saw their schoolmates in their pajamas and in their house clothes. Some looked cute and baggy while some looked like classy and funny.
"hey, my little sister has the same banana printed clothes like yours," someone said while pointing at Jihyo. Jihyo smiled thinking about a little kid with her pj's.
"SHIT, look at Jimin. He's fvking wearing a dinosaur onesie," the same girl said, pointing at Jimin with Leilein on his side. They were wearing matching clothes.
A young girl, who blend with the crowd, Rosé, was looking at their matching clothes and couldn't help but to be hurt at the sight. It was supposed to be her. She wa supposed to be at his side and not her.
"I had a campfire before and this would be my second time," a random boy said to the group.
"same, remember when we tried to burn the marshmallows?" his friend said, exposing the boy.
"we were like 7 that time," he said.
"you were shouting and screaming at my face when your marshmallows were burnt," he added, exposing his friend too. The students near them who heard their conversation and laughed at the memory. It was like a contagious act since they shared their childhood memories too.
Like when they were children, they were gathered and talked about horror and children will scream and be scared. That's how a campfire run. But this time, it's completely the opposite one.
