Chapitre 139: Chapter 14: I have returned.

"Dungeon City Orario.....", William muttered in a small voice as he looked around the familiar mediaeval looking buildings.

Just when he was about to take a step forward.

"Wait!"

A hurried voice called out to him as a fair hand strongly held onto his shoulder.

With an expressionless face William turned his head and looked at the person.

It was none other than team leader Rethusa, who was captured by Antares before.

And yes she survived.

The reason was simple enough, It's because William's sword will only cut what he wanted to cut, with his single attack Antares was reduced to atoms but not a single scratch appeared on the unconscious Rethusa.

And after a week of travel, she was back on her feet once again.

But right now instead of being grateful, Rethusa had a face full of grievance instead.

"What's wrong?", William asked innocently.

"You! Are you seriously asking me what's wrong!", Rethusa finished in an almost shouting voice, using her hand she pointed at the several unconscious guards lying around the road as well as the several small craters on the ground.

"Why the hell did you attack the guards!?!?", Rethusa said in an almost crying voice.

There were several level 1 and level 2 guards littered everywhere around them and the reason for that was none other than this damn blockhead!

Just what was wrong with him? he was perfectly calm before! just what happened in a matter of seconds?

She wanted to cry but no tears came out.

"They were getting in the way.", William replied in a plain voice.

"They were just performing the basic checks!", Rethusa protested.

"As I said they were getting in the way."

"You-------", Rethusa almost spewed out blood in anger, but she controlled herself and said while grinding her teeth.

"What will you do when more of them come?"

Instead of replying William just kept looking at her, his face which said 'What did I do wrong' made her shake in anger.

"I asked what will you do now that you have turned the entire dungeon City into your enemy!"

William stayed silent, letting her finish, after she was done he said in a plain voice.

"What can they do?"

"What do you mean--------"

Rethusa suddenly stopped as a realisation hit her.

It was because she thought to herself.

Although William's words sounded arrogant, they weren't wrong.

Indeed, What can they do?

Rethusa calmed down and looked at William's crystal clear eyes.

What can they possibly do? Against this monster?

"I will be going first, make sure to go straight to the Soma familia."

Under her tired eyes she saw William jumping from building to building, quickly vanishing from her vision.

"Orion! Wait for me!"

Rethusa couldn't help but shiver when she heard the familiar voice.

On her side she saw her Goddess Artemis who had a pouting expression on her face, looking like a young girl in love who had just been wronged by her lover.

The scene made her back turn cold.

The pure and cold goddess she knew was now completely gone.

Replaced by this.....this thing.

"Rethusa quickly! we can't let Soma take him away!"

"Y-yes goddess..."

---

With effortless movement, William jumped from.building to building, easily covering a large distance in a matter of seconds.

In no time a familia building appeared in his vision.

But unlike the one from his memory, the current one looked more grander?

Well atleast the gloomy aura around it was gone.

"Stop right there!"

William ignored the guard and directly jumped over him, easily entering the place.

"I-intruder!", The guard shouted in a hurried voice, but before he could give chase, William was gone.

'There are a lot more people...'

William thought as he walked through the familiar yet unfamiliar road.

'That wasn't there before...', William looked at a newly constructed building on his side as he quickened his footsteps.

Just when he was looking at the new buildings, his gaze fell on a particular object, making him freeze in place.

It was a statue.

A statue made of pure gold, situated at the very centre of the Soma familia.

A very familiar looking statue.

'They didn't....', The corners of William's mouth twitched violently.

The statue was familiar.

Way too familiar.

It was his own f*cking statue!!

William's eyes violently shook.

Skill *[Cole Blooded](S)* is shaking.

Then he calmed down, and once again looked at the statue.

It was definitely him, that long coat, the face covered with a mask, it's face staring at the sky holding a sword in one hand and a severed head in the other.

Looking at his statue holding a severed head, William didn't know how to feel.

He could even see many young adventurer's standing by his statue and staring at it with admiration in their eyes.

Turning around, William decided to walk away and made a note to himself to come back and destroy that thing later.

But that...was just the start.

On his way, William saw three more of such statues.

Three more statues made of pure gold.

There was one thing common in all of these statues.

In every single statue William was killing something.

Like some blood thirsty killing maniac.

By the time he passed the fourth statue, William face had considerably darkened.

Thankfully after the fourth one, he didn't saw another statue.

Or he might just had changed his list of priorities.

Entering a building, William walked through a long corridor and arrived before a familiar room.

Placing his hand on the doorknob, he pushed open the unlocked door.

---

It was just another day in God Soma'a life.

Like usual he was going through the daily reports, carefully examining them one by one as if to not miss anything important.

His expressionless face scanned through the documents one by one, his movement were neither fast nor slow, almost like a machine.

*Creek*

Hearing the door of his room being opened, God Soma said without turning his head.

"Looks like the dungeon raid was a success, go back and treat the members who were injured, the rewards will be distributed later..."

He quickly issued his command, the whole time he didn't pull his gaze away from the document in his hand.

But after a while, receiving no response from the other side, God Soma frowned, feeling irritated he turned his head towards the door.

And what he saw.

Made him freeze in place.

"God Soma."

An indifferent rang out in his ears.

"I have returned."

With a clank, the document in God Soma's hand fell on the ground.
