The entire staff was cleaning up the company for the whole morning. On the other hand, the manager leaned against the chair lazily after giving his order. He was talking on the phone to somebody.
Ning Youyou glanced at the manager. He forgot where he was as he was talking on the phone. He even put his legs on the office desk. It seemed like he had forgotten that the desk was wiped clean by the others just now.
"Youyou, don't daydream. Continue your work. If not, the manager might scold you later." Her colleague, Xiao Hong nudged her and reminded her in a soft voice.
Ning Youyou regained her senses and continued wiping the desk.
"That plump manager is too loathsome. He acts pompously here since he has connections at Zhou Feng Enterprise's HQ. In terms of ability, he can't even compare to the security guard, Xiao Quan who works so diligently for the company.
"Take a look at him. He must be flirting with the girl from the marketing department, Miss Su. How come they could act like that during office hours? How shameless!"
Ning Youyou turned around and looked at Xiao Lan who was whispering softly. She smiled helplessly. Xiao Lan was a straightforward girl. She always said what she wanted to say directly. That was why she was labeled as a tough girl.
Both Xiao Hong and Xiao Lan were of the same department as Ning Youyou. But, Ning Youyou was responsible for translating while Xiao Hong and Xiao Lan were responsible for writing the news and documents.
They used the entire morning for cleaning up the office. They would have a meeting in the afternoon to discuss the various ways to face the spot check the following day.
"Remember this; the higher-ups will come for a spot check tomorrow. You must wear the company's uniform. Moreover, you need to appear in your best performance. Do you understand that?"
"Yes!"
They clocked out at six in the evening.
As they had been busy the whole day, Xiao Hong and Xiao Lan dragged Ning Youyou along to go release stress. Moreover, their manager asked them to appear in their best selves tomorrow. So, they decided to go and buy some beautiful clothes and jewelry.
Ning Youyou had no choice but to give her mother a call. She told her mother that she wanted to dine out with her friends. So, she would not be heading home for dinner.
"Youyou, your hair is so smooth. Why did you always tie them up as a ponytail? You're so beautiful. If you dress up nicely, surely you'll be a flower in BLOVE." Xiao Lan approached her and said smugly.
"That's true. Youyou is so beautiful. It's a pity that you didn't go and be a star. Why did you come and become a translator here?" Xiao Hong said beside them.
Ning Youyou blushed slightly after listening to what they had said.
They reached the mall. Both Xiao Lan and Xiao Hong soon rushed toward the gift and souvenir store.
"Youyou, what do you think about this dress? Do you think it's beautiful?"
"Youyou, what do you think about this lip gloss? Which is better? The red one or the pink one?"
Ning Youyou gave her opinions patiently while facing her colleagues' inquiries.
Xiao Lan and Xiao Hong chose a new dress and went to the fitting room to try them on. Ning Youyou helped them to carry their bags as she had no intention of buying a new dress.
Soon, they checked their appearance in front of the mirror after trying them on.
"Youyou, what do you think?"
Ning Youyou looked at them and their new dresses. She nodded her head and praised them. "They're beautiful. They suit you well."
"If that's the case, I'll buy it." Xiao Lan said immediately. At the same time, Xiao Hong decided to buy the dress she tried on too.
After paying the bills, they strolled around in the shopping mall. However, Xiao Hong was staring at some place upstairs all the time.
"Youyou, Xiao Lan, why don't we go upstairs? We don't have to buy them. Just take a look."
Ning Youyou looked toward where Xiao Hong was pointing at. She frowned slightly because it was the VIP area of the shopping mall. All of the items sold there were of international brands. Almost all of the items were designed and made upon request. They could not go there if they did not own around 1.8 million yuan.
Xiao Lan glanced at the place and decided to go too.
