"I borrowed some of the dog's power to form a charm. The bracelet is a charm that will work with the dog's blessings." Red explained.
The assistant finally couldn't hold it anymore. "You said you are a mortal, how could you do such a thing? You must be a cultivator!"
"Cultivator?" Yui and Mayumi asked at once.
"What cultivator? If I was a cultivator couldn't you see it from my breath? I'm a mortal." Red refuted calmly.
"How can a mortal wield holy power? Impossible." The woman confidently refuted.
"There are many mysteries in the world. Are you really so conceited to believe you know everything? There are mountains beyond mountains and seas beyond seas." Red replied, clearly irritated.
"What's a cultivator?" Yui and Mayumi asked again.
Red shook his head with a facepalm. "Ask her. She is a cultivator, I am not."
"A cultivator is someone who cultivates. Cultivating is the process by which we shed our mortal bodies and transcend beyond human." The assistant reluctantly explained.
"You mean there are superhuman people in this world?" Mayumi asked in excitement.
The assistant looked at Red, but he seemed determined to ignore the three of them. So she nodded. "Yes."
Yui asked. "Are you a cultivator?"
The assistant nodded. After that Yui suddenly spoke. "The both of us already heard the discussion of you two when we went collecting wood for the bonfire.."
The assistant paled. She looked at Red who simply shrugged.
Yui looked at Red. "What is wrong with my body? Is that why you stared at me the first moment you entered the class?"
Red ignored the second question. "If I am not wrong, someone has planted an evil object within you since birth. It is an extremely rare thing in this world known as the Evil Seed.
It is an extremely potent parasite. It has parasitized your body and will slowly take over your body and your mind will be consumed by it. Essentially it will replace you with the will stored inside the Evil Seed."
"You mean... someone's will is stored in the Evil Seed and it will replace Yui's will and take over her body?" The assistant asked in shock.
"Yes." Red said heavily.
"Then the dog? Was it a part of your plan?" The assistant asked. "What did the dog do."
"The dog is a holy beast. I suspected that it would detect the evil object and try to purify it. I gambled and it turned out to be the case. The dog tried to purify it, but I could still sense the evil seed, only it was heavily suppressed.
So I took action and stole some of the dog's holy power, converted it into a sealing charm. As long as she wears the bracelet, the seed has been completely sealed off. The dog's purification has already damaged the soul hidden in the seed." Red explained in a tired voice.
Yui looked at Red gratefully. "Does that mean it has been solved?"
"Not quite. The soul inside the seed is quite strong. I will look for a way to completely eradicate it before the soul begins to heal."
"You can do such incredible things, yet you still claim to be a mortal." The assistant snorted.
"Do I need to lie about such a trivial thing? Think for yourself which is more unusual. Having such power while being a mortal or having such power while being a cultivator? You are really lacking up here." He said pointing to his brain.
"....You!" The assistant flared up again.
"Indeed, this is very suspicious. Why are you revealing your secrets so easily? You've always been very secretive." Yui asked.
Red nodded appreciatively. "You've always been perceptive Yui, unlike your aunt."
"How did you...?" The assistant was shocked.
"You too look too alike. I am really interested to know under which cave you lived until now? Even a child understands social cues better than you." Red mocked.
He continued. "Why am I explaining so freely? Well, since the dog exists, obvious can the lake demon not exist? The lake demon consumes memories. The moment the sun rises, you three will forget everything since the moment the sun set."
"What about you?" Mayumi finally realized Red's play and asked.
"I stole the dog's power. I'll be fine." Red smiled.
"Then why did you explain all this to us?" Yui asked, she was curious about this aspect.
"I wanted to test your aunt. I wanted to know if she could be a reliable ally to protect you, unfortunately, she is a terrible choice. She gets so easily flustered, is absolutely inexperienced and easily blurted out secrets about cultivators without thinking.
As for Mayumi, I found her temperament and talent suitable to cultivate in the future. I found that despite sneaking up and hearing the secrets between me and your aunt, she didn't get flustered and acted like she didn't know what was going on. She passed my test." Red calmly explained.
When the assistant heard that she got angry again, but she didn't know what to say. "You must tell me about this tomorrow!"
"Absolutely not! I won't jeopardize Yui's life on your incompetence." Red rejected her outright.
Mayumi looked at Red. "Red, then will you teach me how to cultivate in the future?"
Red nodded. If when I ask you about it again, it would depend on your answer then.
At that moment Yui walked up to Red. "Even if I am going to forget this, I don't want you to forget. Thank you for doing all this for me." Then she raised her feet, balancing on her toes and kissed Red on his lips gently before walking back to her tent.
Red smiled, but then shook his head. Mayumi also returned to her tent, while the assistant remained speechless about the whole affair. She would lose the memories of what happened this night. Red ignored her and went to the feng shui point and began practicing the second layer. A huge amount of energy simply funneled into the body, being absorbed by the cells.
The first process that Red had to go through according to the manuscript was cleaning. His entire body had to be cleaned to become the perfect vessel for the energy.
