Her words resounded in Blade's mind but he chose to not pursue the matter further. 

Following up with the others, they came to a stop at their own building, while Marceline took Nerissa and Draco to a different residence.

It wasn't like she could not leave them there to stay with Astrid. No. Marceline wanted to issue to her grandchild all she nerver had the opportunity of giving to her ever since.

It was a way out in atonement for the time Astrid has to suffer being alone. She never wanted such to happen ever again.

As soon as Astrid and Blade got inside, she sat on the bed, waiting for Blade to follow after her. 

She knew he had questions but right now, all Astrid wished to do at this point was relax.

"Come please," She urged him, patting on the part close to her body on the bed for him.

Obediently, he swam up to her, taking his seat on the bed while his eyes left hers to trail down her tail.
