Chapitre 5: A bloodied corpse.
Days went by in doe village, the news of the governor resigning made the weak sigh and expect the worse, and made the 3 great families of doe village click their cups in merry. The Xin clan now was at the top of the food chain they had gotten rid of that annoying governor and had made everyone know the great families held prestige and power above all else, the weak knew that unlike Ryuk, they had no one, they knew the corruption of power couldnt be solved, so they decided to let it rot the corpse. The Xin clan members slowly got more and more outrageous with their behavior, they demanded women, they demanded money, they demanded everything, similar to what had been done to Ryuk the village was hollowed out after only one month, the canyons base was where doe village was, but it was only where the common folk stayed, up on the large open areas on the canyon walls were where the nobles and great families lived, nowadays the base of the canyon is silent, the dark fills the canyon like water entering a bowl, no light dares penetrate out, but on the sides light exploded out in many rays, the sound of music, chatter, laughter and dancing could be heard echoing the mountain slowly silencing the common folks moans and groans.
On a very casual night for Ryuk, the sounds of music could be heard all over, the clinking of glasses enveloped every sound. Ryuk was in a lotus position comprehending what his master(the governor) had told him. The ideas were there, but Ryuk still couldnt understand what his destiny was, or rather who he was.
Loud Thuds could be heard coming towards the dog house. Large thuds were made on the door with very short spaces between each beat, it was obvious the other party was getting annoyed with the slow response. The door then flew open, a man aged 25 came in with a big bottle of wine, his shirt was torn and covered in mud, its obvious he didnt have a peaceful walk here. The man was the strongest person in the Xin clan At least the last generations strongest, Fen Xin, a messed up clump of brown hair stood atop his otherwise bare head. "You bastard, you've been taking the girls attention again haven't ya. *hiccup* otherwise why would they all ignore me, its all ye fault, *hiccup* I told my dad its your fault and he keeps saying no, then whos fucking fault is it? Mine? How the fuck could that be, im the strongest, most handsome father in the family. Ahh and that bitch Zelma, i went and confessed and she has the gall to lie and say im not her type! I know that bitch is sucking ya dick off, I arranged that fucking beat down to get ya bastard ass off the girls i wanted to fuck, but you must've said something, *hiccup* otherwise why am i still a virgin?" Fen Xin kept arguing, the truth is Fen Xin had always been on the ugly side, so he picked a technique that made him stronger than he should have been, but it ruined his physical appearance, he became a pin to the eye, but because of how much he won, and how much he drank, he had thought that he was a very handsome, very powerful bachelor who any woman would want, but because of how native the women in doe village were, they cared more about looks than power or money, and so because of how much attention Ryuk got, he thought he practiced some seduction technique which made all other men ugly in the women's eyes. Fen Xin convinced some other pathetic dopes and got Ryuk beat until he was ugly, literally.
"Your own negligence of the truth cannot be something that concern me, right? If you used your brain as much as you did your penis, you would have learnt, the problem isnt me its you." Ryuk responded not even opening his eyes. Fen Xin got furious in a moment, although Ryuk didn't say anything especially rude, the mixture of alcohol and pent up emotions all came out. Fen Xin took out a large butchers knife. Ryuk felt the sudden change in the environment, because of how often he was out in the forest, he had developed a 6th Sense, normally something you got naturally when your mind advanced. Fen Xin took a long gulp of the wine until it was empty then he threw it with all his force at Ryuk, Ryuk used the pocket knife he always had on him and slashed the bottle stopping it from hitting him, but as soon as the bottle was cut, Ryuk felt his hair try and dig out of his skin, behind the already fast bottle was Fen Xin his butcher Knife already descenting from the sky making a large white crescent. The reason Fen Xin could battle so profoundly even while drunk, related to his experience from the various combat sessions in his family. Ryuk used all of his killing intent to try and slow down Fen Xin but it was impossible he had a mental sphere at the 1st stage, whereas Ryuk hadn't even trained it. Ryuk then used all his will to supply all the energy he could muster up to stop the blade, the blade cut deep into Ryuks bone, seeing the resistance Fen Xin was suprised but didnt waver, he put more and more pressure until Ryuks had was cut cleanly off. Ryuk screamed at the top of his voice, but even that was silenced by the loud sounds of party. Even though Ryuk was in so much pain he was crying thoughts flooded his head, is this all a plot, am i being set up, another loose end to be cut is that what i am? Ryuk put all of these thoughts to the back of his head and then was preparing a way to escape, he looked up but what looked back at him, sent shivers down his spine. Fen Xin had a large, maniacal smile, the ends of his teeth could be seen, his eyes slanted looking at Ryuk and laughing at the "pathetic bastard," Ryuk looked at that smile that looked like a monsters and then understood, he clocked his head back and then closed his head and started laughing, 'hahahahahaha so thats how it is, wow so this is what a family is! Wow so this is what humanity is! Amazing, how wonderful, i thought i was a freak, i was a monster, but i never thought about it through a monsters point of view did I, Im sure every demon was betrayed just like this, by the people who were supposed to stand by our side. Wow and they have the gall to act like its our fault, no wonder every demon, kills and kills and kills it makes sense. These bastards for no reason other than their for their own good, kill and take, and we are supposed to take it? Hahaha. Fine if im to die anyway, ill be a demon till the end.'
Having resigned to his nature Ryuks killing intent was no longer unconsciously held back, it released out like a miasma, trying to devour every living being in its way. 'master, it dosent look like i really have that freedom you talked about, but one things right, i will chomp and bite like a dog even if that makes me a devil, ill pave my path, even out of pools of blood.' Ryuks killing intent momentarily stunned Fen Xin, Ryuk shot at Fen Xin. Fen Xin thought Ryuk would aim for the head or stomach and guarded there, and the moment he was pushed back he would end it. Ryuk slipped through Fen Xins legs, to Fen Xins surprise, Fen Xin thought Ryuk just dodged anticipating his loss, but when he felt a cold shiver run down his back that caused him to fall to his knees, he looked at the back of his legs there were two slits that spewed blood, Fen Xin in total disbelief looked at Ryuks knife and it was true small dollops of blood laid on its surface. 'How did i not know where he would hit, no rather how was he fast enough to do that?' that was Fen Xins thought. Ryuk moved like he couldnt control himself because it was so fast but it seemed like he was in total control. A large flood of blood came out of Ryuks eyes, and out of the wound, the expense of that much energy so quickly opened his wounds again, which Ryuk had barely healed with his weak vitality. Meanwhile Fen Xins tiny superficial wound healed. Although right as Fen Xin was about to attack, a ear piercing scream ran through the house, but it was also concealed by the loud noises of the large families. The site where Ryuks knife cut, there was a erosive agent at work it slowly devoured the newly formed flesh, the Continous process of healing and destroying caused Fen Xin to collapse. Ryuk was confused but remembered, he had hunted a large no. of snakes for the guild and some of the dead pack leaders of some snake groups had a high cultivation, he cut them to take the snake gall out, but sometimes at the beginning the poison sac would burst, the blade had become corrosive to any organic matter not snake. Ryuk couldnt help but thank Karen and her bitch personality. Ryuk stood up, the blood spewing from his hand continued, his complexion turned extremely pale and sorry looking. Ryuk wobbled towards the now sprawled on the floor Fen Xin, Ryuk then held the knife up and smiled, "in any normal circumstance i could never fight you, luckily for me the full power of my killing intent slows your own mind, and the snake venom, oh my god, so this is what it feels to be blessed." Ryuk preached. A quick flash descended and cut Fen Xins head from his slowly disappearing body. Ryuk couldnt help but chuckle, the one who wanted to take everything away from him, instead got everything taken away instead. Clack! Ryuk turned around, to see the butcher knife Fen Xin used protruding out the wall, Ryuk looked down there was a giant hole, and in front a lifeless hand now completely empty of life, floating. Blood shot out of Ryuks body and he fell down. A bloodied corpse stood in a bloody pool. 'I wont die!'
