Chapitre 415: Birthday gift
Si Xia rushed inside and up the stairs, saying good night to whoever he saw on the way and not bothering to look for anyone else.
Upon reaching his bedroom door, he stopped. Xia tried to even his breathing and calm his racing heart as he knocked on the door. "Stop assuming. She probably hasn't even thought about that. It's your mind that is always in the gutter." Xia whispered to himself as he knocked. He wanted to make sure that Chen was ready.
And also double check on the off chance that someone else was inside.
Everything seemed to be fine as Chen's voice came from inside, "Who is it?" Si Xia didn't bother to answer and walked in, slowly opening the door.
But the scene that met his eyes as he walked in, was enough for his brain to go into overload mode and his body stop in his tracks. Si Xia blinked repeatedly and shook his head a couple of times, trying to make sure he was not hallucinating.
But apparently he was not, because Chen's blissfully smooth voice rung in his ears as she said, "Close the door behind you." Xia closed and locked his bedroom door before taking a few unsteady steps towards Yu Chen, who was sitting on his king size bed, at the edge of the mattress. He squinted to make sure he was seeing clearly and letting his eyes adjust, because all the lights in the room were off. The only light that came was from the windows.
Si Xia slowly walked over and stood right in front of Yu Chen. He hadn't been wrong before, this little devil really did plan on seducing him tonight!!
Even after coming to that conclusion, Xia forgot to react. He just kept on staring at Yu Chen up and down. "Do I look good?" Chen's voice brought him out of his fantasy. Si Xia gulped, tearing away his gaze fro the beautiful woman in front of him. His throat was weirdly dry, Xia thought to himself as he walked around the bed to the windows, leaving a very dumbfounded Yu Chen on the bed.
Had this man seriously just turned away?!?!?! Yu Chen's mouth fell open upon realizing that. She had gone through all that trouble, dressed up and for what? He had the nerve to look away?!
Just as Chen turned to complain, Si Xia closed the curtains with a swish, leaving the room in complete darkness. Yu Chen could barely discern what he was doing without any light in the room, while Si Xia effortlessly walked around the bed once more and towards the door.
Chen's heart sunk upon realizing where he was going. Had he not liked her surprise? Had she absolutely disgusted him with her actions? Tears had just begun to form in Chen's eyes as she expected Si Xia to open the bedroom door and walk out. But instead, she had to shield her eyes as he suddenly switched on all the lights in the room.
By the time Chen's eyes adjusted to the bright light that filled the bedroom, Si Xia was standing right in front of her. His tall body was the first thing she noticed as soon as her eyes could focus.
