I hugged my mom goodbye and I knew it was the last time I would see her for the year. I only got to go home for one week in the summer because my mom couldn't afford to pay for me to get train ticket to come home and then to get me back to school. I moved into my new dorm, but this time I had no roommate. It was the same as my last dorm, I walked i unlocked the main dorm and walked into the common area. Off this area there was the bathroom and then two doors, one lead to my room and the other to the other persons room. I went over to my door and unlocked it. I was always bad with keeping track of things so I hated having two keys. The nice this is that low-tiers have there own floor, in hopes that we wouldn't get bothered. I quickly unpacked my stuff in my room and left to find the cafeteria to get food. The earlier I get there the more likely that I won't run into people. It also mean I'll have some time to explore the school. I got the cafeteria and got my food. I heard people coming so I quickly left going away from there noises. It's how I survive everyday and don't get beat up as often as the other did. I looked back down the hall and I could hear there yelling from down the hall and I heard there powers being used. I heard a mans voice in coming from in front of me say, "The first day and already a fight is breaking out, and your running away from it. Pretty cowardly, you must now be very strong." I quickly turned my head to see who was in front of me. It was a tall man, he was built well it looked as if he worked out a lot. He had bling hair and greenish blue eyes, that stared down at me as if they were cutting through my soul. He was handsome, but clearly out of League, he seemed to have power and most likely an elite tier.
"I'm sorry, I just don't like getting involved with all the violence." I composed myself as I said the words to seem like I might be a little more confident, hoping that he wouldn't realize that I am a low-tier. I really didn't need this especially on my first day.
"Hmm, well then watch where your going and stay out of my way. Also from your tone you clearly don't know who I am."
"I'm sorry, I was in your way." I lowered my head as I talked and waited for a response. All of a sudden I flew against the wall. I closed my eyes and let out a small whine, out of pain. I felt his cold glare and could feel his hand rap around my neck as my body tended up.
"I'll have you know, I'm the Jack and I'm going to be king soon enough! Show me the respect I deserve!" He Sneered, as his hand tighter around my necks and he pushed me again the wall harder.
Of course I run into a royal and have problems my first day, just my luck.
"Look at me, I'm talking to you!" He said clearly frustrated. I opened my eyes and his gaze meant mine. I know he could see the fear in my eyes as the his grip on my neck and force he used to push me against the wall lessened. Then we heard a women's voice coming from down the hall.
"Hunter what are you doing. Your missing the fight. I don't care that your a first year your still a royal and you should be there to break it...." The women talking seemed to of rounded corner and saw both of us. I felt her eyes fall on me.
"Sorry Joker, I just need to handle her first." He said as his grip grew tighter again.
"Your the Jack stop wasting your time on her, she's one of the low-tier first years. The girl doesn't even have any powers, she's not worth your time or energy." The Joker said.
Hunter brought us head near mine and whispered "watch where your going, I'd hate to see a pretty thing like yourself get broken." With that he let go of my neck and walked away. I know how lucky I got.
