Chapitre 48: The Mistress
- The Emperor City -
After spending two hours with his mistress, Damian Shen returned to the Emperor City with his wife and guards.
His so-called wife was walking behind him and together they headed to the Shen's mansion which located nearby the palace.
Alex Lee was looking forward to his mom's homecoming.., his dad had informed him of the news via satellite phone yesterday. Accompanied by Leah Shen, his nervous little sister, also, David Lee, Maya Lee, and Dave Lee, his next-door neighbor -slash- closest family members.
They came into view...
"Mother!!!"
Alex Lee ran toward her followed by Leah Lee, while everyone else was watching from a distance with tears in their eyes.
Alex Lee hugged his mother with tears in his eyes.
"My son, Alex Shen!", his mother remarked.
The words stunned him, his mother had called him with 'Shen' last name. Did she plan to change his last name and sabotage her deal with David Lee?!
Definitely, something had changed within her. The mother that he knew would never make such a big decision without talking about it with him and her uncle. Another weird thing, his mom didn't look at him on the eyes like she used too. She had treated him coldly. What happened to his loving mom?
"My daughter, Leah Shen!", she added when Leah Shen was also hugging her from alongside Alex Lee.
While Alex Lee was still deep in thought, his mother had separated herself and walked toward the mansion. He was looking at her back strangely, for he didn't feel any familiarly with the way she talked or walked. The past two years must have been hard on his mom...
Leah Shen looked at Damian Shen with happiness and hugged him. "Daddy..., I am glad you found mom!!!" He nodded in agreement indifferently.
"Can I hang out with you daddy? I missed you!"
"Leah.., be a good girl. I have a lot of business waiting to take care of. I have to attend a meeting right now and headed toward the Capital city afterward!"
"Can I go with you, daddy?!"
"Leah..., I am sorry..., can't take you today! Maybe next time!"
Sadly, she nodded. However, he said 'sorry', this word was never said by him ever since his memory loss because of his cold nature. Something or someone had changed him, maybe it was 'Venusa Shen'. She was hoping that her dad would regain his memory soon, now that her mom had come back to their side. Love could heal any wounds, thus she believed her dad would get better soon...
Damian Shen was saying a short 'hi and bye' to Alex Lee and instantly, Damian Shen was calling the president and the business cabinet over the phone to command them - to come over to his office for a meeting in 10 minutes -. The business trip was a failure and he needed to find other methods. The only good thing that came from the trip was his delicious mistress but of course, no one knew about it besides a couple of his trusty guards that would keep the secret with their life.
Alex Lee sighed hard at his cold dad and he sighed even harder when he couldn't feel any bonding with his newfound mother, it seemed she had also turned into another person without warmth like his dad.
She didn't hug him back or called him 'baby' as she used too. Her expression was aloof and her gaze was calculating at best.
He needed to investigate what happened to her in the Modern city that would change her into a different person.
Meanwhile, deep within the fake Venusa Shen mind, there was nothing else besides the planted memories of the real Venusa Shen which was only a common knowledge that Nick Lang knew about. However, she was just a shell, a puppet without any recollection of her own past, and her mission was to report to Nick Lang every day of her life regarding Marshal Shen, her husband that won't even let her touched him.
Nick Lang didn't know about her uncle or Maya her best friend, she never shared the private information, thus 'Venusa' was shaking their hands clueless of their identity.
"Venusa..., you back!!" Maya hugged her tightly,
Her mind was implanted with a mechanism to deal with the weird situation when she didn't know what was going on..., just play along...
"Hello..." she hugged Maya back awkwardly.
David Lee could feel that something was different about his niece, she was too cold toward her family and no more enthusiastic toward them. They just saw each other after four years but she acted like it was nothing big to see them after a long separation, she didn't even show any warm feeling with her son, the change of character was drastically and very unlikely unless she was traumatized by her experience in the Modern country. What happened to her in the past two years? He would ask his agents at the faraway island to investigate this matter. Looking at Alex Lee's suspicious expression, he definitely got something under his sleeves already. He would discuss this suspicious matter with Alex Lee after he found more clues in his investigation.
Maya Lee also felt disconnected from her foster sister..., probably, the long separation had taken its toll on their relationship. The person walking next to her was unlike the warm Venusa Shen that had taken Maya under her wing as a sister. She was looking at her suspiciously, but as soon as the thought appeared it disappeared. She couldn't forgive herself for any bad thought of her sister...
After all, she owed all of her happiness to 'Venusa'...
Alex Lee returned his mansion next to the training ground where he had stayed with the elite agents for the past two years - to strengthen their military power in order to compete with the overseas countries prowess -. Now that they had come out in an open as a very rapidly well-developed country, the risk of invasion from other countries was increasing. The Emperor country had many natural resources that would be the envy of the world. Recently, he found a remote area filled with big meteorite rocks which would bring more wealth to their country. Indeed, the Shen family riches and power was used to develop the Emperor country for the good of the citizen. Many overseas people had become one of their own...
The talented workers came to the Emperor city to work on their projects, however, they fall in love with the country's motto to help the citizen improved themselves, in other words, 'Wealth was possible for anyone who seeks it and works hard for it'. Their talent was appreciated more in the Emperor country, their wages were tripled than what their own country paid and the living cost was incredibly really cheap. Thus, the road to riches was more probable. For that reason, the Emperor country citizen had tripled in size.
"Young Master..., I came here as soon as you call for me."
Agent 003 was standing right in front of him who was sitting on the dining chair.
"Sit down.., agent 003!"
After agent 003 sat in front of him, separated by the wide dining table, he sighed and said with a hurtful expression," My mother had returned but she acted worse than my father in terms of emotion. I suspected something must have happened to cause the change in her character. Send agent 001 to investigate her whereabouts and her past in the Modern country! And he needs to disguise himself and spy on Nick Lang! I believe he had something to do with my mom's weird behavior. And tell him that he can take as many agents he wants!"
"Yes..., Young Master!", agent 003 answered and he added," About Marshal Shen..., I am positive he would regain his memory with my newly found method of meridian acupuncture, however, he didn't let me do any more trials to medicate him. Perhaps... Young master could talk to him into receiving the new treatment?!"
Alex Lee's eyes were shining brightly at the great information, smiling he said," I will convince him and just prepare for the medication! Good job, agent 003!"
Damian Shen had just finished the meeting with the president and the business cabinet, after spending 3 hours in an argument, they had come into an agreement to look for other ways to obtain the wireless tower.
Even after the meeting ended, Lone Wolf had stay inside his office to report to him the newest news regarding political or business issues. The final decision regarding the Emperor country's well-being was depending on Damian Shen command.
"All right..., I agree with everything..., just do the new plan! And I will stay in the Capital city for a couple of days, give me a call if something important comes out!"
"I will, Marshal Shen!"
Damian Shen was definitely unwell...
The whole meeting time, his mind was on his delicious mistress...
His body had longed for her, even though just hours ago, he already devoured her nonstop for two hours, he still wanted for more...
Without wasting any more time, he called for his trusty man, Willis Shenbi who he had left behind at the Emperor city to help Alex Lee with the new soldiers training.
"Marshal Shen..., what's your command?!"
"Prepared 20 guards and 10 servants and send them to the Shen's mansion at the Capital city!"
"Yes, Marshal Shen!" Without any questions, Willis left to do his bidding.
In an hour, everything was ready and Damian Shen headed to the Capital city in his fancy car drove by his trusty driver, followed by two big military trucks filled with guards and servants.
He smiled smugly which made his trusty driver, Nico thought that Marshal Shen had probably lost his mind. All things considered, this was the first time he ever saw Marshal Shen smile, it seemed that the lookalike madam had a big influence on the powerful man. Marshal Shen had never allowed any woman to touch him, not even his own wife, but definitely, he was crazy in love with the lookalike madam, only a fool wouldn't see that. And Nico was not a fool..., for 25 years of his life.., he knew enough of love.., he had married his childhood sweetheart at the young ages of seventeen and with two children, they love still going strong. The Marshal expression was no longer cold, right now, Nico saw only a man who was deeply in love with his woman who unable to bear even a small separation. Nico sighed, he missed his wife so much, maybe they had to move to the Capital City if the Marshal decided to move into the old residence.
