Chapitre 56: Feverish Morning

I checked the time again: 3:57. How far away is the closest 24 hour store? Maybe he's coming back soon.

Just as I thought that, the door slid open. Ryuu stealthily stepped in and closed the door behind him. He crept to his position from before with a plastic bag in hand.

"You... actually went out... and bought it?" My breathing was ragged.

Geez, how high was my fever?

"I also needed to get medicine." Ryuu explained as he pulled out the items. "Do you need help getting up?"

"No." I slowly pushed myself up. The towel fell onto my lap.

"I also got this." Ryuu held up the familiar cooling pad I used for my shoulders not too long ago. 

As he picked up the towel, he handed me my yogurt. While I struggled to unseal it, Ryuu opened the cooling pad. He pushed up my fringe to stick it on.

Oh.

My heart sped up a little.

Really, why do I feel so... exposed without it now? When did my bangs become such a comforting shield?
