Jennifer looked at the people who were looking back at her as though she was here to eat them alive.
Did she look scary?
She didn't think so.
"Are you afraid of jumping through the door?" Jennifer's voice turned cold.
The others flinched at her voice, but timidly nodded.
Who wouldn't be afraid of doing so?
Even though Jennifer was able to jump through the fire unscathed and was able to do such a stunt, that didn't mean that she was born with this talent.
When she was just twelve she was made to dive in an ocean. And what was more horrifying was that it was her first time. She had not learnt swimming at that time.
A small girl, who was barely twelve had to jump in the ocean without any life jacket. Though there were trained swimmers to save her in case she drowned, but for a girl who had not even reached puberty, it was a difficult task. She wasn't even showed how to dive. This was how she had learned to swim. She herself knew how it felt when the salty water made it's way in her nose and mouth.
So Jennifer was loosing her patience, when she saw that everyone was reluctant to jump through the door.
The fire had reduced a lot, hence the maximum damage would be that they would get a burn.
But wasn't that better than dying?
"Those who want to live can jump through the door. Otherwise you can die here." Jennifer didn't look back and started to make her way towards the door.
Actually it wasn't their fault, as Travis pacified them by saying that his boss would save them. And looking at the situation, he was sure that Emmett would call for helicopters.
It was a human nature to choose the simplest way. If given a choice to choose one way to go to heaven, either by experiencing hell first or by waiting for the heaven to come itself. A human would always choose the later.
Death can't be controlled. Everyone knows that one cannot avoid death. But life can be spent in various ways.
For some, good life would be helping others, even when you would suffer a little. Happiness can be obtained in this way. Whereas for other good life can be living rich and dying rich. Caring for only themselves.
It would usually depend on us, which path we should choose. And as per the human nature, they would ultimately choose the second.
It was the same case for the fifty members who were stuck in the fire. They were told that they would be saved. They now had two options, either to follow Jennifer or to wait for Emmett's helicopters to arrive.
When they saw Jennifer walking towards the door, they dumbly stared at each other. Those who didn't want to go through a risk, stood on the spot. And a very few decided to take a risk.
What if the helicopters didn't arrive?
They didn't want to die.
So eleven people, consisting of the Principal, the Professors, Ava and few students followed Jennifer.
Jennifer already predicted this. No one would want to jump through fire.
But she knew that it was safe if they jump out now. The fire was reaching the net and no one could predict when the net would fall down, burning the whole terrace.
Jennifer knew that many would stay in their places and she wanted the same. If she would now had told them about the fire reaching the net, all would have run towards the door and it would have been difficult to send each one out with such a crowd.
When the remaining ones would see the other eleven passing through the door, some would follow the them and Jennifer would tell the remaining ones about the net. Hence all could be saved.
So here we go.
The author is finally back. I would not be going anywhere soon.
So there would be updates daily.
Yoo! And I have also finished a total of 100 chapters.
