Chapitre 6: CHAPTER 6
Bolu and Titi were at the living room watching television, they arrived from school like some hours ago. Mr and Mrs Tayo went to visit Sarana at her school. Bolu was at junior secondary school two and he was twelve years old, the different between him and Sarana was many, Titi was in primary six ready to enter junior secondary school and she was ten years old.
"Am tired of this channel, let change it" Titi said.
"Am enjoying it, very interest"
"Please change it brother, it is too dull"
"Give me some minutes I will change it"
"Okay brother, am waiting" their housemaid came out from the kitchen.
"Hi guys, have you done your assignment?" she asked.
"Yes anti, I have done it" Titi said.
"What about you Bolu? Busy with the movie"
"Sorry ma, I have done it"
"That is good, enjoy yourself "
"Anti, come and join us" Titi said.
"I need to finish what am doing in the kitchen, I just came out to ask you if you have done your assignment so I need to go back and complete it"
"Okay anti, well done" Bolu said.
"Thanks, what will you like to eat for super?"
"I will eat rice" Bolu shouted.
"What about you? Titi"
"What did mom and Dad want to eat?"
"They said semo" said it in her language.
"I will eat the same thing"
"Okay then, if you need anything call me"
"As you said ma" Titi said. The maid went to the kitchen back.
"This channel is interesting now than that one"
"I don't know that this one is interesting too" door opened, their parents entered. Two of them stood up to welcome them with smile.
"Welcome mummy and daddy" two of them greeted in chorus.
"How are you? My baby I hope you are doing well" their mother said.
"How are you all?" their father said.
"We are fine, sir" it was their voice that housemaid heard and came out from the kitchen.
"Welcome ma, welcome sir" she knelt down on the floor.
"How are you?" Mr Tayo asked.
"Am fine sir" she stood up, collected the bag from their mother's hand.
"Do you take care of my children very well?" their mother asked.
"Yes!! Ma, I try ma" she took the bag to her room.
"How is sister Sarana?" Bolu asked.
"Yes, how is she? I hope she is fine"
"She is fine, looking good" their mother said.
"She sent her regard to you guys"
"Okay, good to hear that from her" Titi said.
"We want to go and shower" their went to their rooms.
They sat down back and continued with their movie, the housemaid came out from their mother's room and went to the kitchen, Titi stood up when she saw the maid entered the kitchen.
"Where are you going to?" Bolu asked.
"To help Anti in the kitchen"
"Okay" she left, the kitchen door opened and closed. The housemaid was getting the things that she used to prepare food when she entered.
"What are you looking for" she asked.
"To help you, ma" standing looking at her.
"Okay, sit down" she sat down a small chair.
"What are you cooking? Ma"
"Semo, for you and your parents"
"Okay anti, Bolu's rice have done right?"
"Yes Titi" took the semo on the table.
"What can I do to help you?"
"Nothing anymore, just sit down"
"Okay, ma" looking at him mixing the food, after some minutes she had finished cooking it put it inside the plate and left the kitchen. Her and Titi was setting the table when two of them came out from their room sat on the chair joined Bolu in watching the movie.
"Mummy and Daddy food is ready" Titi said.
"Okay, we are coming" Mrs Tayo said.
Two of them stood up and went to dining room to have their super, Bolu too followed them. Prayed and started eating, after some minutes they had finished eating the maid packed the plate and took it to the kitchen to wash, came back to clean the table.
"My love, I want to tell you that am going to Mrs Olotun's shop tomorrow "
"To do what?"
"To go and greet her, it have be like a month now that we have set eye on each others, I need to go and greet her"
"Okay, how is her husband?"
"Her husband is fine in good health"
"Olawale should have finish schooling by now?"
"Yes, he have did. There their education is fast"
"And he have back to Nigeria?"
"When I called my friend, she told me that he said that he is not coming back to Nigeria anymore but she let him know that he will come back"
"He need to come back, this is his father's land"
"Yes now, even his father had travel today to meet him there and bring him back home with force if he don't agree to come easily"
"It will better, he need to assist his Father with his business"
"Yes! So tomorrow morning I will go and see her"
"Okay, my regard to her"
"I will, she will hear"
"I want to go and sleep, am very tried" he stood up going to his room.
"Me too am tried but I need to finish watching this movie, it is very interesting "
Mrs Tayo and Mrs Olotun were closed friend, they had been doing their friendship for many years.
The maid came out her room after two hours, saw Titi and Bolu in the living room watching movie, their mother was still there laid down on the chair watching the movie.
"Bolu and Titi stand up, go to bed"
"Okay anti" two of them stood up.
"I have been carrying away with the movie, I should have tell them to go inside"
"Good night mom" two of them said in chorus.
"Good night by lovely children" they went to their rooms and the maid too followed them.
She came out after twenty when she saw that they had slept.
"Good night ma" she said.
"They have slept?" looked at she.
"Yes ma, even I have not finish singing that they have slept"
"Okay, thank you very much and well done"
"Thank you very much ma, good night"
"Good night, sweet dream"
"Thank you ma" going to her room
"Me too will go and sleep after watching this movie, it have about to end"
Took the pillow on another chair used it to support herself and continued with the movie.
