For a moment, there was silence on the other side of the door, as if the child was debating whether or not to enter the room. Scarlet thought it wasn't that big of a deal, but for the child- entering the queen's chambers might be a blessing, or a curse. Moments later, the child must have decided her fate; the door opened and her cute little face peeked inside, hesitation evident on her face.

"Your Highness?" she inquired, her gaze darting about the room in search of the queen. When her huge brown eyes caught sight of Scarlet on the bed, she averted her gaze and lowered her head in panic. "I sincerely apologize for disturbing you, your Highness."

"It's fine," Scarlet said, smiling at the terrified child. "Don't be shy; I already gave you permission to come in; You can put that tray on the table," she added, motioning to the sofa set on the other side of the room.
