Chapitre 48: Chapter 47 - Unexpected fight
"First question, what clan do you belong to?"
Ernie asked the man whose legs were frozen.
"I don't belong to any clan, I left to join a group of mercenaries. We find missions that suit us and complete them. Easy money ya know, a man's got to make a living."
Ernie seemed to understand.
The rest of the people he killed must have been his comrades in this mercenary group.
"Are mercenaries a big thing in this land?"
"In a world where everyone is trying to kill everyone, of course it is! Every clan i've come across has had one or two of its clansmen in a mercenary band!"
"Why are the Uchiha and Senju fighting each other?"
"How am I supposed to know? That feud has been going on for ages, at this point I doubt they even know themselves. However, the Uchiha clan has two prodigies, both wield eyes different from their other clansmen. Or… so i've heard."
Ernie squinted.
'Is he referring to the Mangekyo Sharingan? I didn't think there would be people in this era who managed to awaken it…'
Ernie kept his thoughts to himself as he wasn't too sure if that was the case.
"You said two prodigies, besides Madara who is the other one?"
The man was shocked Ernie didn't know.
Hearing him ask all this information, the man could tell Ernie wasn't from this area. They assumed he was considering he was close to the village, him and his comrades were just unlucky. If they waited and paid a bit more attention, then they would have realized this and wouldn't have attacked them. At that point, they would still be alive.
"The Uchiha clan has both Madara and Izuna, two brothers. They had three other brothers but they all died in a battle against the Senju."
'That could explain why he was so talented, being Madara's brother and all. Still, why couldn't I recall him?'
'If him and Madara both awakening the Mangekyo Sharingan, then the Senju clan should be in deep trouble right now. Still, it feels like I am missing something.'
Ernie said to himself.
"What about the Senju, how are they dealing with this?"
"The Senju were losing against the Uchiha clan after Hashirama's disappearance, but now they are being aided by another clan. There are talks that the two will have a marriage alliance, but as to who or when this is happening I have no clue."
For Ernie, this was interesting news.
"And?"
The man looked confused.
"And what?"
"What clan is it?"
"Hell if I know, that damned name is always hard to pronounce. Uz...uzumaik or something like that."
Ernie's memories started to come back a bit as he remembered.
'Right, the Uzumaki and the Senju allied. I almost forgot about them, but it's been so long ago. If I recall correctly, it should be Hashirama who will be getting married. But, he is missing which is weird. I doubt he would just die, and the only one in the Uchiha clan who compares to him is Madara. This causes me to worry a bit, where exactly could he be?'
As Ernie was lost in his thoughts, the man whose legs he had frozen was wondering what he was thinking. More importantly, he was waiting to be let go.
Coughing, he drew Ernie's attention.
Ernie glanced at him.
Ernie asked him a few more questions before he let the man go to the afterlife.
There was a bit of profit from this small encounter. He found out there was a clan not to far away from here that was hiring ninja to help them in their war. While Ernie wasn't too interested, he found out that the war was actually a civil war within their own clan. The clan split and now there were two factions fighting for control.
Ernie thought it would be entertaining to watch, thus he ventured towards that clan.
It was deep into the night as Ernie was traveling when he heard fighting. He quickly changed his direction to see what was going on.
He soon spotted, a fair-skinned young man with silver hair and Izuna, the young man who resembled Sasuke.
"Today you die!"
"For the death of my brothers, I will have your head!"
The two men clashed with each other as they exchanged sword blows.
Around them, two small groups of ninja were fighting.
Ernie realized who the two groups were instantly as well as recognizing the silver haired young man as Tobirama.
He was curious as to how Tobirama would deal with Izuna, and he saw Tobirama use a variety of different jutsu. He was highly skilled and each one of his attacks held intense amounts of power.
Tobirama found an opening and his body seemed to vanish, he appeared behind Izuna with blood dripping from the tip of his blade.
Izuna's shoulder had a deep gash.
"This move is still incomplete, but once it's finished so are you!"
Tobirama commented.
Izuna held his injured shoulder as his eyes changed to the Mangekyo Sharingan. His chakra surrounded his entire body as Izuna roared. His eyes bleed while an avatar started to take shape.
'Susanoo? Already?'
Ernie was surprised that Izuna could use Susanoo.
Tobirama was shocked as well, as he hasn't seen anything like this before.
Izuna's susanoo was dark blue in color with piercing red eyes. It was just half a body, but still it held much power.
"Die!"
Izuna roared in anger as his Susanoo swung a giant katana.
Tobirama's eyes grew large as he just stood there.
Ernie gulped wishing he had popcorn.
