A handful of minutes later, Syrbarun returned, accompanied by five distinct individuals, each bearing a unique style and appearance.
Jake immediately recognized Siri, a Delkron android woman who could pass for a human were it not for her skin, which resembled white plastic, and the electric blue gleam in her eyes. She was the third of the latest generation of Cekt's disciples, while Syrbarun was the fifth in recruitment order.
As for himself, Jake was the seventh and current last disciple of Cekt, but that status might soon change.
Sorry for the late chapter, I left work late.
I'll briefly touch back on Lyra's bloodline. Jake, like anyone with strong mental fortitude, can also manipulate the Aether with varying degrees of success, making it radiate. Jake has done this on numerous occasions, for example, when playing with his Aether Cores to make their rays converge.
But this was macroscopic, and the Aether didn't truly radiate but was projected at high speed in one direction. Similarly, Aether Vision doesn't truly depend on sight, but on the spirit, as by default, the Aether doesn't radiate.
Lyra does something else. She genuinely gives the Aether the behavior of light, and her innate power then allows her to manipulate it at will. It may seem overpowered, but she is nonetheless limited by her Perception.
