"So... what's the project?" Elduin broke the oppressive silence after a moment.
These Guilties excelled at making people uncomfortable. Ever since everyone had taken a seat, they'd been staring at each other, squinting like they were in a cowboy showdown. Jeanie, Trash, and the two Rank-A adventurers who were enduring the awkward atmosphere barely dared to breathe.
"Good question." Jake cracked a phony smile. "Wyatt, what's your reason for being here? Let me guess. Our plans are pretty similar. The big question is, are they complementary?
Wyatt swirled his wine glass aloofly, then resting his ageless crimson eyes on Jake, he put all his cards on the table.
Sometimes I see comments complaining that Jake is regularly nerfed to give the impression of constant struggle.
Well, besides the fact that a hero who doesn't struggle is not very interesting for my taste, the very principle of the Ordeals means that it will always be challenging. Each of them brings a new concept, but from the Fifth Ordeal all this didactic side will cease completely, but it is also from this moment that the differences between Evolvers will start to really show.
If the Jake of the first Ordeal was on Quanoth (which is impossible), his Main Mission would be ridiculously simple for the Jake of today. To illustrate, he would already be on the Divine Academy with the profile of a new student, and he would simply have been asked to attend classes for one term.
As for Jake being nerfed, this always has to do with Aether density. Aether stats are important, fundamental even, but it must be understood that in Ordeals and before a very high level they bring a minimal advantage compared to Body Stats. There are humans, who may have been through 7 or 8 Ordeals, which would give them Aether Stats of 125,000/725,000, but if their Body Stats are those of a normal human, even the current Jake can defeat them. The weak don't take risks, the strong are not afraid of anything. So Jake is bound to face only people of his caliber.
