Chapitre 48: Dinner and a movie? No thanks part 2
"Alright, I'm going. I'll meet you later at Rogue's room, she needs to rest and relax. I'm going to talk to Johan and Kyung, I don't think she should go back to school tomorrow and she's stubborn enough to try to talk her grandparents into letting her go." Ron just hummed and kept ignoring him as he cooked. Ji sighed and just quietly left the room, Ron is really pissed at him and he had no idea why, he's just going to have to fix it and do it quickly. He remembers being given the cold shoulder for three months straight and it had been just plain torturous for him. He hated seeing Ron unhappy and depressed.
Ron was angrily muttering to himself in the kitchen, "Hmm...I'm not stupid. He was thinking about someone. Who is it? Why the heck do I care? Hmph...I bet it's a big breasted bimbo. Oh Dr.Park, you're so handsome. Pu pui... disgusting heifers." Ron was chopping veggies so fast his knife looked like a blur and he speedily finished putting the soup to cook. He decided to go and check on Rogue will it cooked and when he took a peek he saw that she was asleep. Good she looked pale and sickly when they arrived and a nice nap would do wonders for her. He gently covered her with her soft blanket and tiptoed out of the room and softly closed the door. He swiftly made his way down the stairs and he could vaguely hear voices coming from the living room. He made his way over and sat down on a sofa across from Johan and Kyung while completely ignoring Ji. Ji glances at Ron and slightly hesitates but when he sees Ron ignoring him, he coldly ignores him too, after all two could play this game. Kyung and Johan look at each other and both are puzzled by their attitudes toward each other. Kyung slightly smiles, looks like Ron is mad at Ji. I wonder what Ji did this time to make the boy so angry.
"Ji, I agree with you. I don't think she should go back to school tomorrow. She's very stressed right now and I don't want her to get worse and complicate her recovery. Ron, I need you to stay with her tomorrow and keep her occupied and relaxed. I know that she's had a very big shock today and that the stress is the main culprit for her to be like this. Johan, I'm sure that the boy's family will try to contact us very soon and I want you to stall for time. I need her to come to terms with what her parents did, she doesn't have to like it but at least be civil in front of the boy and his family." Kyung was patiently awaiting for Johan to join the conversation and she glanced at his face as they all waited for his decision. "Kyung we need to be careful with how we take care of this situation, Bennett Meyers is someone that we have a business relationship with and I don't want to damage it too much. I will try to buy Rogue some time before they press for the engagement to be made public. I can maybe suggest that its not made public until the kids are in university or something like it. Bennett is as stubborn as a mule and I don't think he would cancel the engagement, he loved Malcolm and Elizabeth and much as he loved his own blood family and following the arrangement will be a priority for him," Johan frowns as he tries to figure out what to do.
Ron is listening to the conversation and finally joined in, " How about we have Rogue try and be civil with the boy first and go from there. As they spend more time together they can get to know each other and make a decision about their future. I mean they're smart kids and will be able to figure out what they want in a relationship. Why don't we just have Rogue rest for a day or two then go on the offensive and ask the Meyers to come over for dinner." Kyung nods, "That's a great idea, Ron. Let's play it by ear and see what happens. We can also observe how they interact with each other, we might be able to come up with a solution." Ron gets up and excuses himself as he walks by Ji he tries to grab Ron's hand but he shakes him off and keeps walking away. Ji looks miserable but doesn't say anything to him, he just tries to act calmly. Johan and Kyung had a evening engagement and couldn't stay so they left to get ready. Ji looks down to the ground and slowly closes his eyes, he can't believe how much it hurts to see Ron avoid his touch and seeing him walk away really made him feel extremely uncomfortable. He frowns, okay enough is enough, Ron is going to tell me what's wrong right now. I haven't done anything wrong for him to be treating me like this. Ji gets up and stomps away toward the kitchen purposefully, getting more annoyed by the second.
