Chapitre 23: Awaken
My body feels so heavy and painful. I'm afraid of the pain, of the darkness surrounding me like and endless soundless void. I'm going crazy but I can't escape it. I cry for you but I can only faintly hear you singing to me daddy, mama I can feel your tenderness in every touch but why can't I wake up. I want to wake up! A crystal clear teardrop runs down her cheek as she keeps living trapped in her nightmare world.
It's been three months since the accident and Rogue's physical condition has improved. Her body is healing at an amazing speed and doesn't have many scars except for a tiny cut by her hairline. Kyung and Johan have set up Rogue's house as a private clinic for her with round the clock care for her. Ron and Ji have taken a leave of absence from the hospital to personally take care of her and they have brought three of their expert nurses as live in caretakers.
Surprisingly Rogue's uncle and his family didn't really give her grandparents a hard time about the move out of the house but when it came to the company and her properties they tried to keep stalling the handover until the Holidays legal team treathen taking legal action against them that they finally comply. The lawyers are pretty sure that some smaller companies and properties have changed ownership to the Drakes and are currently working to take care of the problem. Johan is furious with the Drakes as more information regarding the harsh treatment that Rogue experienced while she was living with them. Johan felt like a failure and can't wait to get even with Robert Drake. After listening to the information that Perry had investigated about the accident his definitely sure that Rogue's accident was no accident at all. The man who hit her with his car was found dead a few days later in his jail cell and unfortunately the CCTV cameras were broken down and there was no video from the jail cell. He left his office and hurried back to the house, Kyung was with Rogue and he wanted to speak to the doctors regarding her recovery. Johan sadly stared out of the car window as he mumbled to himself "little girl is time to wake up and get your revenge and grandpa will definitely help you destroy that pack of jackals." Meanwhile at the house Ji was quietly playing the guitar and humming a song when a miracle has finally happened. Rogue's awake!
Rogue's startled when she sees a bright shinning light in the darkness surrounding her. It's so bright she can only open her eyes a bit. She can only sees a woman's figure in front of her and as the light is so bright she can barely see. "Baby girl it's time to wake up. I know it's hard and you're scared but please take my hand. " Rogue is so happy, "mama, I knew you would find me." Rogue happiness is immense, she grabs her mother's hand and slowly stands up. "Come sweetheart with me baby. You're going to be okay now, you have to believe me. Do you remember nana and papa?" Rogue smiles and nods, "they are your parents right?" "Yes, darling. They have been looking for you for a long time and they finally found you. You will see them soon." Rogue and Elizabeth slowly walk towards the end of the tunnel where there is a red door shinning mysteriously. Elizabeth stops and opens the door and a wonderful bright light and warmth starts entering through the door. She sadly smiles at her beautiful child, "Rogue, go through the door and you will be back home. Hurry now!" Rogue suddenly stops at the door looking worriedly at her mother, she reaches out for her hands and Elizabeth steps away. She starts panicking, "Mama, come on. Let's go home." Elizabeth cries shaking her head she walks backwards away from the door. "Goodbye my love, remember mama and daddy always love you. We will be watching out for you always." Suddenly Rogue feels a force on her body pulling her through the door away from Elizabeth. "No,no,no. Mama, I won't go back without you," she feels like she's fighting against gravity as she is wrenched away. "Mama, mama, nooooo!" She screams as she goes through the door and it slams closed.
Kyung had stepped out of Rogue's room briefly to speak to Ji when she hears a blood curdling scream from Rogue's room. Ji and Ron run ahead and as Kyung goes in she hears her screaming "Mama, mama, noooo!" "She's finally awake. Rogue is awake, thank you God." Kyung starts to cry as she hears her granddaughter finally speaking after so long.
