Chapitre 12: Missing child, found child part 2
"Thank you God!" Kyung cried as a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders. She knew that if Ji said she would be fine, the surgery was a success. Perry was uneasy as he sees Dr.Holiday break down into tears, he quickly pulled a handkerchief out of his suit pocket and handed the monogrammed silk handkerchief to her. "Thank you Perry," Kyung hastily wiped her tears away, she took several deep breaths to settle her nerves. "Has her legal guardian been reached? Who is it?" Dr.Howard left the room to verify that someone had been called to come to the hospital, the nurse in charge of the floor told the doctor that the police had finally reached the girl's uncle and that he said someone would be coming but that had been hours ago. He frowns and he asked if anyone had arrived yet, as he said this the elevator opened and a middle aged man with an impatient look walked swiftly down the hall followed by two other men. The younger man asked for the room that Ms. Drake was in, he thanked the nurse and briskly walked towards the room.
The doctor had a feeling that he needed to follow them, he told a nurse to inform Dr.Park and Dr.Holiday to come to room 354 as soon as possible that it looked like the girl's guardian had finally arrived. As he was about to enter the room he heard the middle aged man speaking to the younger man, "She is so lucky. This is the second accident she survives, why doesn't she just die and let us enjoy what really belongs to us. Hopefully with this accident happening I can convince the old members of the board to give me full control of the company. What's my brother's brat going to do with it? It's unfair that I worked so hard for my Father and in the end he gave my ungrateful brother everything, I even married a woman who was in love with my own brother to please my parents and I still was left out in the cold when they died."
Dr.Howard froze as he just eavesdropped on the conversation that was going inside the room. He was unsure if he wanted to come in or turn around and leave, before he could do so he hears the young man speaking, "Sir, I'm confident that you will get them to vote in your favor but for now I think it's best to take care of the child. You must keep appearing like you care for her, it's clear she will have to do physical therapy and we don't know the extent of her injuries. she might be a cripple for the rest of her life. Even when you take over the company she will own a small amount of stocks and the returns of it should be enough for her upkeep, just get her a small house out in the country with a few staff. That would make you appear as if you greatly cared and would boost your reputation with the board and stockholders." The older man sighed, "Mr.Ling, I may not like your answer but you are correct in assuming that the board and stockholders will have more faith in me as the good uncle taking care of a crippled child. I really don't hate Rogue, it's really not her fault that my brother was the favorite but every time I see her I see both of her parents and I can't help but think that if they never met everything would be different. Enough of the past, I will take your advice and do as you say. Please find a nurse, I want to talk to the doctor who operated on her."
"Of course sir." Mr.Ling was about to turn around and walk out of the room when a knock was heard and a doctor walked into the room. "Good evening gentlemen, I'm Doctor Howard, and you are?" The middle aged man curiously looked at the younger man and then shook the doctor's hand and introduced himself, "I'm Robert Drake, Rogue's uncle and legal guardian and this is my assistant Mr.Ling."
