Elizabeth can't help but laugh, "Hmmm...I don't know if I should. You sound like you like flirting with the ladies, Mr.Drake." Malcom's surprised by her response, "Are you calling me a player?!" He chuckles, "I'm so far from being a player, I'm more of a workaholic than a player. I don't really date, it's gotten to the point that most of my friends don't invite me anywhere because they say I act like a grouchy old man."
Elizabeth can't help it anymore and starts giggling, "ok ok I'm kidding. Here give me your number and i'll call you." Malcolm's phone rang and he saves Elizabeth's contact information. A black Bentley slowly drives up to them and she glances back at it, "It was nice to meet you but I have to go, got school tomorrow unlike someone else." She cheekily winks at him and quickly gets in the car. Malcolm doesn't even have a chance to say goodbye but he just grinned and watched as her car drives away. I think I just met my future wife, he happily walks toward his car and starts planning how to see her again.
"Miss Elizabeth, are you alright?" Her driver James, glances at her while driving. She seems distracted tonight, "was that guy bothering you?" "Hmm...I'm fine James. Just a little tired." Elizabeth sighed, she had a great time teasing Malcolm, who would have thought that wanting a snack would let her meet such a handsome man. Her eyes sparkled just thinking about getting to know him better, maybe she could ask him to watch a movie with her in the weekend.
Weeks passed, Malcolm and Elizabeth started to get closer and finally Malcom's heart was so full of joy and love that he decided to ask Elizabeth to be his official girlfriend. His parents gave up their plans to marry him off to the Yamamoto girl and decided that his brother Robert would be the groom instead. Monica was a little surprised when Malcolm called her out of the blue and ask her for lunch, he said he had something important to speak to her about. She glanced at her schedule and saw that she was free that afternoon and he said he would make reservations at her favorite restaurant. Monica was intrigued, Malcolm had never been a child that would ask for his parents opinion for anything. I wonder what is bothering that boy.
Malcolm was not the most patient man, but Monica was curious and decided to be a little early to the meeting with her son. As Monica walked through the restaurant to the private rooms many men stared, she was a gorgeous woman with an icy look to her, she definitely didn't look like the mother of two grown men, she kept her diet and beauty regimen faithfully. The young waiter kept glancing at her and thought she was one of the best looking women he had ever seen, he knocked on the door of the private room and briskly opened the door for her. Malcolm had arrived ten minutes before and was reading a message his assistant had sent him when he heard the knock on saw his mother walk in looking beautiful and cold as an ice queen. "Mother you're looking lovely as always." He bent down and kissed her cheek, Monica was surprised by his gesture, it had been years since one of her sons had acted like this. "You flatter me Malcolm. I'm surprised to see you in such a great mood, everything going well at work?" She had noticed that he had been reading something on his phone when she walked in. "Everything is well mother, I ask you our for another reason. I need your advice so I need you to listen to what I saw carefully please." Monica was getting more and more curious, it is not normal for her Malcolm to act this way. What in heaven is going on with him today? "Very well, is it related to your brother's engagement to Ms.Yamamoto?" Malcolm made sure his mother had sat down comfortably before answering the question."No mother, if Robert decided to go along with your plans, I will not intervene. He is an adult and he accepted your decision for him so what right do I have to try to change his mind? I'm very sure that he already calculated all the pros and cons of the relationship and has made plans for the future. I'm not the only one who wants to be CEO of father's business you know."
"That's true both of you are very competitive. Ah my sons are smart, talented, and good looking like their mother." She lightly teased Malcolm and surprised a chuckle out of him and quipped back, "Mother you forgot to say we are also humble, just like you." Monica's surprised laughter sounded lovely to her son. He smiled and reminisced about his childhood when his mother would smile often at her children as she read a goodnight story or played with them in the backyard. "Mother, I know I have never asked you for advice or help with anything but I really need it. Are you willing to listen to me?" Malcolm seriously and anxiously stared at his mother. Monica was flustered and confused, "what's bothering you son?" Malcolm took a deep breath and let it out, "Mother, I met someone and I want to officially ask her to be my girlfriend. How do I do it?" Monica had been taking a sip of tea and was so surprised that she sputtered and spilled her tea into the table. "You, you have a girlfriend!"
