Chapitre 5: Good morning
The magic the man had used had been felt by a squad of monster hunters that were currently on a mission to exterminate a demon bear, feeling this magic they were drawn to go towards it and see what it was that gave off such a powerful feeling. It had taken them a day to travel to the location they felt the magic come from, they left most of the group make a new camp, and only the leader and a party member kept on walking towards were the magic had been used. But when they arrived all they found were bodies on bodies. They walked around in the once peaceful village that had now been filled with death. And spotted two boys sitting up against a wooden wall while staring at something, they were staring at a naked woman without a head and a wall where there was something written in blood. " Get stronger or lose all you hold dear, that is the rule of this world" the leader of the group slowly said quietly while staring at the kids who looked like they were frozen.

I wake up to be greeted by a stench of something unbearable making me puke, I slowly blink my eyes upon but what I saw was not something I ever wanted to see I saw my mother's naked body laying on the cold ground without a head. I started crying while starring at her lifeless body when I got a glimpse of something on a wall right ahead of me. "Get stronger or lose all you hold dear, that is the rule of this world" Memories started coming back. "I will make mommy and daddy come to this world with magic" "My mother always told me I was a strong child" The memories of my past life started coming back to me. "I have to become stronger" I muttered out and then an image popped up in my head. It was some kind of book with the title just being "Strength" And as fast as it showed up it vanishes, but at this moment I was feeling stronger than before. I felt as if there was strength pumping out of the book, making me become stronger and stronger. I felt like I had endless strength but it only lasted for a while before the feeling abruptly stopped. I couldn't feel it anymore, I was wondering what that book was and why it was in my head. None of this made sense, how could a book exist inside of my head? How could a human shoot light from his bare hands? How was all this possible?
Then a memory played inside my head again. "You can go to a world with magic and wizards"
Magic! magic existed here, it must have been how he tracked us without seeing us, it must have been how he did all those things.
Just after I discovered that magic existed In this world I started hearing movements from beside me, so I look beside me to see my brother Leo waking up. I wait for him to wake up, and when he wakes up and he pukes just as I did before opening his eyes. He saw the gruesome scene and puked again. He kept on puking over and over again, and I wondered why I didn't have the same reaction. Almost like I was used to seeing death.
"Good morning," I say to him in a sad tone.
"Where's mom? I remember her being the devil"
I slowly point at the body that was laying on the cold ground without a head.
His eyes become empty and tears start falling. "mother!" he screams while trying to get up from our sitting position. "Leo... Mother isn't here anymore" I answer with tears forming in my eye.
I hug my wrap my arm around his neck while trying to move my still weakened lower body towards him. I expected it to be hard, but it was actually really really easy almost like lifting a leaf. I get quite surprised about my strength but it didn't matter at the moment I needed to hug my brother. After getting my arms around him I start hugging him while tears start flowing from both of us. Rage and hatred occupied my heart, while sadness and despair occupied his heart.
*I will protect you brother, I will become strong for us so strong that no one can stand above us ever* I swore this in my heart. What I didn't know was that the book responded to that and start giving out more strength and it even opens to reveal the first page of the book. "Strength of a warrior" Which shows some kind of sitting position and some training stances, I have had yet to notice this as I was to busy holding my brother in my arms and thinking of a plan on how to kill that devil bastard.
A few minutes pass as we stop crying and start just staring at the wall where he had written the text with the blood of the people we loved.
Then I hear someone talk I look towards the way I heard something and see nothing. I soon hear it again but now it's clearer
"leader, what could have happened here?" A female asked
" A mage seems to have raided this village," The leader said
"But why?" The female asked
"I have no idea, Tanya" The leader answered
I had yet to see them but I could hear them crystal clear.
Who were these people approaching and what are they doing here?
Those were my first thoughts. I then started seeing an outline of a man and a woman emerging from the forest beside us.
They look around and see the devastation and death that had been left in this small village. I then heard the thick voice mumble "Get stronger or lose all you hold dear, that is the rule of this world"
I then feel their gaze turn to me and my brother.
"Leader there are still people alive" Tanya shouted
" Yes, it would seem that is the case" the leader responded.
Tanya started sprinting towards them. I saw this lady called Tanya run against us and I was unsure what their objective was so I took a protective stance over my brother by putting my back towards Tanya and covering my brother. "Amzi? What are u doing bro?" Leo asked "Protecting what's left," I said with a smile on my face
"Tanya you seem to have scared to two of them." The leader said in a teasing tone.
Tanya just looked at the kids for a while before slowing down her speed. When she reached the kids she crouched down and whispered "It's okay we're not gonna hurt you" I look at her and what I see is a surprise there she was a girl with bunny ears and a pretty face. She had two daggers on a leather belt. She was dressed as my father had told me an adventurer would be dressed.
"Are you an adventurer?" I ask still not trusting she won't hurt us.
But this time it isn't Tanya that responds it's the hard looking leader " More or less."
"That wasn't an answer to my question" I hastily reply while tensing up.
"I don't have to answer your question," he says while giving my neck a chop putting me unconscious once again. My brother gets terrified after seeing me getting hit unconscious once again. "Don't hurt my brother you-" before he could say anything else he was also knocked out.
Leader: "We're taking them to camp"
Tanya " Weren't there other ways to do this, I kinda feel bad for these kids"
Leader" They wouldn't follow us to camp if we just asked, these kids just saw everything they loved get destroyed and killed, I doubt they will trust some strangers right after."
Tanya: " I still think there were better ways to handle it *sigh*"
When I and Leo woke up again, we saw the evil-looking man called leader again
Leader:"Good morning! : )"
