"Well then, Dimaria. You better hold on tight like your life depends on it." Dimaria held on to Noctis' thighs like her life depends on it. Noctis, seeing this nodded and instantly teleported to the mark he left in the inn's backyard.
When he teleported back to the backyard, he was met by Irene lounging on the hammock with the kids sleeping beside her. When Irene noticed Noctis' arrival she was glad but she furrowed her brows after seeing the little girl beside him.
"I'm back." Noctis said as he sighed while being stared at by his wife.
"Thus is Dimaria, a little girl I picked up after clearing the Rain Kingdom's army. She said she wants to be trained by me, I don't want to but she clung to me." Noctis said and Irene didn't say a word. Its like the two of them are talking mentally.
'You could've just ditched her and return right? Or did she clung to you while crying?' Irene knew that his husband has a a weak spot with children especially crying ones that's why she already deduced what Dimaria did to make Noctis take her as a disciple.
Noctis just smiled wryly as he got what her wife is implying to him.
'I didn't just pick her up because she cried on my thigh while clinging tightly to it. There's another reason why.' Noctis replied.
'Then why did you pick her up as your disciple?' Irene asked.
'She's the chosen vessel of a God.' Noctis dropped the bomb which shocked Irene as she widened her eyes.
'Are you serious?! Are you sure about that?!' Irene asked.
'Yeah. She's the chosen vessel of the time god, Chronos.' Noctis said and Irene furrowed her brows. She had a bad feeling about Dimaria and she is not sure about Noctis taking on Dimaria as his disciple.
'Don't worry, I think I might have a way to seal her connections with the time god temporarily.' Noctis said and Irene is curious as to what Noctis is planning to do.
Dimaria looked at the two silent adults as she felt confusion because in front of her is the Goddess of Alvares which she admired for her strength.
"Uhm... my mother said... husband and wife shouldn't fight and should love each other." Dimaria interjected nervously, if her master got displeased of her meddling she might be thrown out by her master back to Alvares.
Irene gave a sigh. Her husband would most likely be stubborn about this one. A trained vessel is better than a rampaging one.
Irene had heard about rumors of certain villages who, in the surface, looked normal but when night strikes, they became werewolves because of the blessing of the God of the Night/Moon. She had also heard of a village destroyed when the God felt displeased about the vessel they offered and in return, wiped the entire village.
Overall, Gods, in Irene's perspective are just arrogant brats who had the power to mess around with this world and use the humans as their tools for enjoyment.
"Fine, take her to a bath and burn her tattered clothes and replace it with a new one." Irene said and Noctis sighed after seeing his wife's reaction. He too, would rather have a trained vessel to carry on the power of a God but if had the choice and power, he would completely cut off those Gods who ascended with his own hands. He currently doesn't have the strength but in the future, he will purge the God's abode of the sh*tty Gods.
"Follow me." Noctis said as he went upstairs with Dimaria. The customers were able to glance at Dimaria and started conversing who she is and who is she to the owner.
Noctis then lead Dimaria to the second floor room and showed her the bathroom and taught her how to use the stuff inside like soap and other stuffs.
"Take a bath and clean yourself up. I'll go and pick up some clothes for you." Noctis said as Dimaria nodded as she started cleaning herself up while Noctis went to the system to buy some clothes for Dimaria. Noctis chose some casual clothes and a Hakama and a Gi since Dimaria would be under his training.
(Hakama and a Gi is the uniform of Kendo)
He then neatly folded the clothes and put it on Dimaria's bed.
"Your clothes are here. If you're not satisfied with them, tell me, I'll change them for you. I have also separated your training uniform. For now rest up, we'll start training on the way." Noctis said as he had already planned on how they would be travelling. As for training Dimaria, he would firstly teach her simple breathing techniques. If she had managed to make the breathing technique as normal as it could be, then he would move on to the next step.
Dimaria didn't answer but Noctis already knew what she wants to say. He needs to let Dimaria grieve alone at the moment since she hasn't had a chance to grieve when her village is destroyed and is constantly doing her best to survive by barely scraping on every single day.
Noctis then went down and sat down beside Irene.
"So? How are you planning on training her?" Irene asked.
"I'll take care of it. Don't worry. Follow me to the private farm. I'll show you what we'll use for travelling." Noctis said as Irene got curious about her husband's antics.
Noctis held her hand as they teleported to the private farming space. He could see in the middle of it all is the Tree of Life bud emitting serious amounts of vitality.
Noctis then went to the store and bought the thing he chose as their mount. A big green pig fell down from the sky and Irene is surprised that her husband could summon something like this.
Although Noctis is satisfied, his economy took a huge hit after buying Mama hawk who he had scanned back in the Nanatsu no Taizai's world.
"Mama hawk!" Irene called out and Mama hawk turned her head to face them.
Irene floated and stood in front of Mama hawk as she rubbed Mama hawk's nose.
"How about we let Mama Hawk decide where we go? I don't really have a destination to pick from." Noctis said as he scratched the back of his head and Irene chuckled before nodding towards Noctis.
"We'll be on your care, Mama Hawk." Irene said as she continued rubbing Mama Hawk's nose and Mama Hawk let out a snort which made Irene smile.
