Shin wanted to test many things the moment he logged back into the game. He just didn't have the time to do all of them earlier since he prioritized the most urgent job for their quest.

He just reached the state of being one with the sword earlier and his body was able to adjust to it not long after in the real world. He wanted to test quite a few skills with it after he was done stabilizing his state, but unfortunately, a slight accident happened before he got the chance to test them out.

Fortunately, he could at least do those things inside the game instead. It might not have an effect as good as when he was in the real world, but he could at least understand their principles and experience their powers inside the game.

The experiences that both sides could give him were not far from each other, after all.

Aside from those skills, he was also interested to test out the things that Professor Henry had taught him.
