Chapitre 11: Double Trouble
Detention was...boring for the most part and honestly,I loved it. There was approximately 6 of us in here and we consisted of the teacher, 3 other students and Hope and I. The room was silent apart from the buzzing of the fan that only the teacher was provided,rude. The only other sound was the constant tapping of the pen that one of the morons behind me had, but who cares. We were given notes to write but it wasn't much, probably because it was still the first day of school and they haven't taught us anything major yet. I heard mumbling behind me so I turned to see two of our detention buddies arguing not so quietly. This went on and on and it was seriously starting to get on my nerves. "Alright Pups and Betas and whatever in between, I need to use the bathroom, now don't let me catching you running off or giving trouble or their will be serious consequences". As he said this, his eyes glowed a golden yellow, furthering his point.
As soon as he walked out out, Hope and I looked to each other, smirked and then fist bumped. She took out her phone and started reading a manga and I took out my sketchbook and started drawing. I loved graphic designing and it was one of the few things that I was actually good at. So while I was trying to draw, my chair jerked and I ended up making a stray line on the paper. Now, if you drew with a pencil, then you could rub this out with no prob but for people like me that thrive with a pen, once a stray mark was made, either you incorporate it on your work or you're done. I closed my eyes, counted to ten and started making the line look like it was apart of my work. When I almost had the line looking good, my chair jerked again, making another stray line even bigger that last one. I felt my eye twitch and I took really deep breaths as I tried to calm myself down before I rip the head off of one of those idiots and fed it to the next. 'Deep breaths Azrael, deep breaths' I kept repeating this in my head and took more deep breaths and didn't even notice that I snapped my pen in half until Hope looked at me with concern in her eyes and touched my shoulder.
The arguing behind me got louder and louder until the entire desk got pushed forward from the two morons starting an actual fight behind us. The only other girl apart from Hope started shouting at them to stop and Hope took out her phone to video it. I thought it was so she could get evidence for later but narrowed my eyes when she put a heart filter around it. 'The nerve this girl has' I thought as the two guys messily fought all around the place. I mean, you guys are going to be fighting dangerous creatures in the future but you fight like this, your trainers must be proud. In the middle of my judging, Hope tapped my shoulder in panic. "Teacher's coming back, 40 meters and closing in".
"Okay, okay, no need to panic, we just need to stop these two idiots, fix the room and-Oh My God" I stopped talking just in time to dodge and blue orb thingy from hitting me and based on the fact that the silver board cracked, it would've seriously hurt. Great, just great, the morons started using their abilities. OK we have got to do something and fast,Amelia will have my ass if she found out that I got in more trouble, IN DETENTION.
Okay let's think about the situation, douche #1 was using some sort of force field, condensing it and then yeeting it towards douche #2 who had lazer eyes. I was about to interfere when a lazer almost hit Hope and I. "Okay Hope, start using your abilities to fix the class as much as you can, I'm gonna try and stop these two morons" I said.
"First off, don't order me around and second of all gotcha". Sometimes I seriously don't understand this girl. I smiled and looked at the other girl that had started to cry. "Hey, hey, hey look at me, we're gonna stop them alright, what's your ability?". I seemed to get through to her as she quickly nodded.
"Um, I can freeze things, I guess ,like place them in ice" she was still crying and I knew that I couldn't depend on her for long so she will have to strike hard and fast. "Okay, do you think that you could freeze them or at least one of them?" I asked. She seemed to freeze as she shakes her head in fear.
"N-no way, they are both Gammas with Gamma levels of training, they will kill an Omega like me if they find out I used my powers against them". Wait, hold up, these 2 morons are Gammas with fighting like that? Seriously these 2 idiots are fighting so messily and just firing their abilities left and right. I signed and looked at her again, "Look, they won't even know it was you and trust me, freezing people in ice is an awesome ability". I said that but what was the side effect? With abilities such as that, there were always side effects. If you had fire powers, the more you used your powers, the more your hands burn or even your body and if you use your ability too much for your body to handle, your ability consumes you. I was fortunate enough that I was born with such a basic ability of enhanced strength so I don't have effects but the rest of my family and Hope does. But that's a story for a next time so I'll get back to this weeping Omega. She finally nodded and I looked at Hope who was busy fixing the room and it was almost done. She was sweating a lot and panting hard but that was expected from using your ability this much. The girl then closed her eyes and when she opened them, they were an icy blue. I smiled and nodded and she froze one of the guys which made them stop and look around in confusion but before his eyes could land on the girl, I grabbed him and set him down in his chair and when he tried to get up, I punched him, knocking him out cold. I then saw the other one that the girl had frozen and I held the ice block in the air which honestly took some effort. "Unfreeze him!" I shouted and she did, before he realized what was going on, I slammed him in his seat and punched him as well, knocking him out cold. Basic or not, enhanced strength sure was useful. Hope finished fixing everything when the door jiggled and Hope ran to her seat, I was about to do the same when I saw the teacher's apple had dropped on the floor. I picked it up but was too late as he walked in and saw everyone in their seat except me with his apple in hand. "Oh, and who is this brave soul that dares take my apple that my wife had the kindness of packing me?".
"Ah f**k my life".
