Chapitre 12: Thank You!

Ella placed her hands above her protruding baby bump, she had finished watching the press interview of Catherine, John's missing wife. She was feeling happy for John, he must have been suffering in hell for the last 11 months busy finding his wife's whereabouts everywhere.
John has been a good boyfriend and good husband to her wife and she felt guilty that she almost had torn them apart from each other.
During those times that she shamelessly attempted to seduce him, John never took advantage of her, except in the swimming pool because he was taken off guard with her maneuvering. If she didn't pull him into the pool he will still resist her charm. That goes to show that John is a devoted man to his woman, Catherine is a very lucky girl.
Looking back, when John brought her into the slum area it didn't have any effect at all, but later on, she understood what the message was all about. In a way that it changed her cold heart slowly and later on, she developed a soft heart for the poor people and a greater understanding of their pitiful condition.
She realized that not all people were born equal. Some are born rich and some are born poor... and forever poor unless something can be done about it. Rich people produce few rich children while poor people produce more poor children. Since many poor people were now living on earth, therefore the opportunities and resources for them to improve their lives are limited and not always available within their reach. She knew why it's very hard for poor people to improve their lives. If she can help transform poor people's lives even only a handful of them then she will be satisfied. It will be impossible to help all poor people, she can only extend help to a few and inspire the rest. At least she has done her part.
She was glad that John didn't take advantage of her way back, she was glad that she was not able to successfully destroy a beautiful love that he and his girlfriend have. She was gladder that she and John were never meant to be because she found the love of her life in Danny.
Speaking of the man that makes her world go round...
Danny entered the bedroom.
"Dinner time, babe," he said, he walked to her side and kissed Ella's tummy. He assisted her to get up from the bed.
If there's one thing Ella likes about Danny is that he is a very sweet guy, he always looks for her comfort and makes sure she is alright.
"Tomorrow morning, we will visit your OB-Gyn for your monthly check-up. Then at 3:00 in the afternoon I will take you for a ride to visit the construction of the relocation site. The buildings have been erected, they are now in the process of adding doors, windows, toilet bowl, sinks, electricity wiring, landscaping, and so on. It will be habitable soon...a few months from now. The building construction finished ahead of schedule because there are many volunteers who work for the charity cause round the clock especially during weekends, you know teens and college youth... they would drop by in the site to lend an extra hand, so it's kinds of inspiring and motivating that all types of people are willing to help in any way they can," Danny explained.
Ella beamed. "That's good, the sooner the relocation site is finished, the people in the slum area can finally move to their new home. I'm excited about the next journey of their lives. It will be a huge leap from their previous surroundings. Living in a clean, spacious and new surroundings is not that much, It's just a small gift but the impact in their lives will be tremendous, it will push them to dream again to achieve new purpose in their lives. All they need is a helping hand and a gentle push in the right direction so that their lives can take a new turn," she said.
Ella looked at Danny sweetly, her eyes were glistening full of love. "Thank you very much for sharing my vision babe," she said to him. She was very much thankful that Danny turns out to be a very loving and understanding partner.
Danny hugged his pregnant wife from behind.
"Thank you, babe, for sharing your vision to me, especially for accepting me in your heart," responded Danny feeling proud of his wife, meeting her is the best thing that ever happened in his life.
They smiled fondly at each other, they finally found their soulmate in one another.
Life is indeed beautiful.
