----_____----

Bardock- was many things according to his colleagues, a great Saiyan, a great friend and a being whose power was nothing to scoff about.

But it wasn't his power that was scary- no it was his cunning, and strategic planning that made him dangerous, not to mention his will of titanium that seemed unbreakable.

He was always right back up, no matter how damaged and bruised he became, he was always striving for excellence and better skill.

Leading him to become - nearly equal to the Races own soon to be monarch- at the age of 17.

And he currently was sparring with a few of his team members- as he bested them all with slight ease.

Wondering exactly how his meaningless life would go- sure he felt adrenaline when in battle, but he had no other reason of existence but to battle.

He contemplated this a lot yet nothing came to mind- and he knew it- yet he carried on with his relatively boring life.

Sometimes he would dream of better things, a better life with someone and with a reason for living.

A reason as trivial as making money and studying- yes once in a while he would dream of another life.

Life - it was a mysterious life completely foreign to him, and within that life, he was a student trying to keep on top with his assignments.

Whilst also dealing with an average life, meeting people, socialising and so much more.

Once in a while, he would long for just an ordinary life, as his existence felt meaningless to him.

Why did he exist he could not fathom the answer- why was it his only joy came from battle and improvements in skill?

He simply did not know, yet the thought of another life made him feel free- to do whatever he wanted by working for it.

And as he stopped in his tracks whilst thinking of this- immediately he felt a strong push on his back as he turned.

Looking back he saw it was his squad member- a female Saiyan- called Gine.

She was an anomaly, if you will she did not fit the mould of Saiyan Society.

It was obvious after interacting with her for a while that she resented her life as a warrior as a combatant destroying civilisations was not something she could stomach.

Yet she wasn't weak- no far from it she was a strong Saiyan with different ideals and a person that seemed to somehow melt his indifferent persona.

She was an anomaly- alright and she seemed to be able to exhibit emotions almost sealed by one's Saiyan genes, kindness- and care.

He felt a warmth from her like none other and she did too.

Remembering this feeling, he felt an urge to protect Gine, for some reason as if he was afraid of her injuring herself within missions.

She was an anomaly-alright...

"Captain Bardock- !"

"Just call me Bardock!"

Saying that the Saiyan seemed to have pierced the woman's soul as he shattered the gateway-

He stared steely into the woman's eyes as he replied causing a certain pink blush of sorts to cover her cheeks as she meekly looked downwards, whilst scratching her arm.

"What is it?"

Saying this he looked at her with curiosity and what was it - yes amusement as well, for some reason.

Was it amusement- or some form of happiness that arose from something other than battle?

He knew not the answer.

"Bardock I can't move my legs anymore- can you-"

However, before she could finish the sentence- Bardock had suddenly grabbed her waist as he picked her up into a princess carry.

"It's fine I'll take you to the healing chamber- Gine..."

Hearing this and feeling this suddenly- Gine the one in a princess carry- felt her heart beating fast.

There was no fighting yet his simple touch and utterance of her name caused her cheeks to become dyed red.

'He said my name... For the first time!!'

Thought Gine as she looked embarrassingly up at him wondering what this feeling that she felt clearly was.

Moving quick he arrived at the Healing Chambers- whilst his movements were caught by one person.

Fasha- stared at Bardock with some type of anger and bitterness mixed up.

Seeing how he was to the weakling Gine who couldn't even do her job right.

The seductress had taken over Bardock it seemed as she glared angrily at Bardocks broad shoulders as he leapt towards the healing chambers.

In a flurry, he had arrived as he quickly moved towards the empty space- mainly due to the fact that Vegeta was being coronated at this moment.

You might be wondering why Bardock and his crew weren't there- well it was because King Cold had ordered Zarbon to join my group in order to assess our performance.

To make sure that we kept up to date with the universal regulations- something that happened every few years.

As technology continued to advance hence the Saiyans always trained to perfect their skill in using technology to the fullest of their potential.

It was much like a leaderboard of sorts- and Bardock was number one even above Vegeta though he cared little about it.

King Cold was a weird person- having met him several times in person yet a perfect monarch- he was able to feed his people and keep them all educated.

A feat once thought impossible a few centuries ago yet the old king had done so and that with ease.

But rumours of a new emperor was fast - as it was written about in every Galactic News Corporation.

Hell, even the most trusted and well-sourced paper- The Daily Galaxy was in on this as well with top Journalist and Reporter Kuraaku Kenta covering this news as it seemed this was extremely likely.

Apparently in a few hours, King Cold was to abdicate his throne to his son- a Frieza Clansmen called Frieza ironically.

Named after his race indicated his very potential and power to Bardock as he tried to decipher who and how powerful this new Majesty was.

King Cold, for the most part, was okay but - to hear that this experienced and wise king was to abdicate his throne felt incredibly weird.

Why would he leave it all on a child that is basically a newborn with no experience-

At all other than being born silver-spooned with no worries and threats gone with a single tantrum to its father?

He could not fathom the understanding behind it hell- he was worried that because of this Frieza -

Life would just get harder for his own people.
