Chapitre 18: Ch. 18 Grandmaster Xi
After checking Ling Xi's body and dantian to make sure he is fine, Cheng Li prepares to go down. Holding the still unconscious little one in his arm when a man wearing the sects robe makes his way towards them, stopping and standing five meters away.
"The Grandmaster Xi of warrior division invites you in." he informs Cheng Li before lowering his eyes to Ling Xi's body in his arms.
"If you join our sects, the Grandmaster promise to look after your companion and give him resources to nurture his talent." he again continues to speak.
Cheng Li really wants to go down but thinking about Ling Xi, without proper guidance he would never raise his level and them ascending to different realm would hurt or even kill him if he doesn't have appropriate strength.
"Thank you for your invitation, lead the way." Cheng Li coincide before following the attendant. They walk for almost an hour before going to a cave, the passage to go to the warrior division, the cave when activated is sort of portal sucking them in and putting them to a place they want to go.
The Grandmaster's palace is big, standing at the peak of the mountain overlooking the warrior division. The attendant guide them to a labyrinth of rooms before arriving at where the Grandmaster is residing.
Sitting in a low table is a woman wearing a simple robe of black, hair in a ponytail style and a sword on her side. She has a valiant aura circulating around her. She is clearly the Grandmaster of the warrior division. Sitting with her is the Grandmaster Ran of alchemy division. They are talking in a small voice while sipping a cup of tea.
"Grandmaster Xi, we have arrived." the attendant speaks before bowing his head and going out when the Grandmaster dismiss him closing the door in the process.
"Welcome and have a seat." Grandmaster Xi says before smiling, gesturing the sofa beside the fireplace.
"I want to make you my disciples, do you accept?" She questions still in a soft voice.
"Thank you master." Cheng Li says before rising and bowing to her, Ling Xi still in his arms.
"The attendant will lead you to your room." She dismiss them before looking at Ling Xi.
"Come here early in the morning, we have something to discuss." she says before gesturing her attendant to lead him out again.
Cheng Li can hear a loud protest coming from the Grandmaster of Alchemy division but he is too tired to care. He just wants to bring his wife in a safe environment and crashes. Him unsealing and suppressing his cultivation took a toll on his body, even his cultivation is affected by it.
The attendant bring him in a pavilion, Changing the names of the owner before giving him two tokens, the tokens is his key in entering the warrior division and the house.
"As promised, the other token is given to your companion. He can come anytime he wants." his imparting words before leaving him on his own.
Upon entering Cheng Li can feel the qi spiritual energy is much denser than the outside, a perfect place for cultivation, it has a garden and a lake, a small patio even leads out to the center of the lake which lies a small hut.
He really wants to explore more but fatigue and sleepiness prompt him to go in the room, washing himself and Ling Xi, he prepares to sleep. He knew Ling Xi that because of hurting his soul force would take weeks or months to get up. His soul needs to recuperate.
"Master," Cheng Li greets out before bowing to her. They are in the training ground, Grandmaster Xi doing her morning exercises.
"mm." her only respond. They stay like that for an hour, him watching her footsteps and moves while her practicing her swords.
"You are fourth qi condensation stage right?" She asks still exercising.
"To reach your cultivation while you are still young, you must have some secrets in you, I won't ask them, I would guide you and give you some martial art techniques if you want some but I'll ask for your loyalty in returns." She continues to speak before looking at him intently and when he nodded she smiles and continues on
"It is no secret that demons are being spotted in this realm, some even killed and massacre communities, they are growing stronger more and more, they want to conquer this realm and the Xianhai sect is on their way, sooner or later they attempt to attack. That is why I choose you to become my succeeding disciples, the pavilion i give you is the place where the leylin core is located, right at the bottom of the lake." she again stops before looking at his eyes probably looking for greed.
"Go in a close door cultivation, Raise your cultivation as fast as you can, I will supply you with high grade pills to stabilise your foundation. The soonest they would attempt to attack is one year from now. You must be prepared. I chose you because you are strong but don't have a strong attachment to this sect, I know we would lose this battle and when we do, get the leylin core and run, don't look back, run! Once they have that core, then humanity is as good as gone." her voice became smaller and smaller while saying that. She is now just standing looking at her sword, probably lost in her thoughts.
"My only requests is for you to kill or injure the traitor who opens the portal. I don't care if humanity would perish, but I want them to die just as this realm would be no more." she whispers still looking at her swords.
"You're mate, he has a four colored soul right? Grandmaster Ran would help him in his cultivation, If you are not comfortable with them together, he would stay in my palace while you raise your cultivation." she suggested before gesturing him to go inside.
Cheng Li lowers his head when he heard what she is saying, the Grandmaster is so sure that the humans would lose in this battle, even pointing out the leylin core. Cheng Li nodded his head in appreciation, truly a Grandmaster. Loyal, Steadfast and valiant, a commendable traits of a warrior.
"Grandmaster, I promise" Cheng Li says bowing his head.
"Enough of that. I will introduce you as my succeeding disciple, wear this robe." before giving him a black robe looking exactly with what she is wearing.
"And don't wear your mask. I'll wait for you outside." she says, this time she is now wearing her signature smile.
