Chapitre 247: Everything For Emerson

After what felt like forever, Marissa finally moved away from Danson's lips. She didn't know why, but her eyes stung a little and she could feel tears welling up inside. "Danson, I want to..." she tried to tell Danson that they were breaking up, but he suddenly pressed a finger to her lips and gestured for her to hush.

"Lie down with me. I want to get some rest," he said gently as he lay back down.

Marissa did not move, but Danson tugged on her shirt and pulled her down to join him.

"I want to..." Marissa tried to say what she was thinking again but paused when the man rolled over and wrapped his arms around her.

"Quiet, I'm trying to sleep," he said as he closed his eyes.

Marissa looked at the peaceful young man in front of her and sighed. If Emerson didn't exist, she would definitely be in love with him. But, reality did not allow that.
